Upon wrapping up Spider-Man 2's main story, players will be treated to a variety of scenes that help set the stage for the inevitable Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 2 Has a Chadwick Boseman Easter Egg

Players can find an emotive Easter egg within Marvel's Spider-Man 2, featuring a tribute to the late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman.

In the very last scene of the game, players see Miles Morales getting ready for a dinner with his mother and her new boyfriend. It's revealed that her new boyfriend is Albert Moon, who happened to bring along his daughter, Cindy. Players don't get to see Cindy Moon's face, but it's clear from the fact that this is the last thing in the game that she is supposed to be a big deal. Despite this, it's quite likely that many people that beat Spider-Man 2's main story will not know who Cindy Moon is.

Spider-Man 2 Cindy Explained

Hardcore Spider-Man comic book fans will recognize Cindy Moon as the superhero Silk. In the comics, Cindy was bitten by a radioactive spider and, as tends to happen in the Marvel universe, acquires spider-based superpowers as a result. Silk's powers are very similar to Peter Parker's, though her Silk-Sense is more powerful than Peter's Spider-Sense, and she has organic webs (like Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man) that shoot out of her fingertips as opposed to the webs that Peter makes in a lab.

Silk has had an active presence in Marvel comic books for about a decade now, and has appeared in multiple video games over the years, but hasn't been featured much in the mainstream. A version of Cindy without her spider powers is in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War, but she hasn't been seen since, and it's unclear if she will ever take on the mantle of Silk in the MCU.

Future film projects should make Silk much more recognizable to casual fans, as the character is getting her own TV series in the form of Silk: Spider Society, and she is also set to be featured in an animated Spider-Man movie alongside Spider Woman and Gwen Stacy. Silk's increased popularity should work in the favor of the eventual Spider-Man 3, as this post-credit scene in Spider-Man 2 is clearly setting her up to be a prominent character in the next game.

If Silk is featured in Spider-Man 3 as expected, it will be interesting to see exactly what role she takes on in the new game. The most obvious thing to do would be to make Silk a new playable character. The ability to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales in Spider-Man 2 has earned a great deal of acclaim, so adding a third character to the mix seems like a great way to make that concept feel even bigger in the next game.
