A Marvel's Spider-Man 2 player has glitched out of bounds, finding a secret room with Kraven the Hunter trophies that may reveal a dead villain that wasn't killed on-screen. In Spider-Man 2, Kraven the Hunter has traveled to New York City to hunt down and kill the super-powered beings living there. If this glitched area is any indication, it seems Kraven was even more successful in this venture than was made clear in the game.

Spider-Man 2 sees Kraven the Hunter go toe-to-toe with Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but he also sets his sights on the various villains that make New York City their home. Kraven even manages to successfully kill some of Spider-Man's rogues gallery. Kraven's most notable on-screen kill is when he murders Scorpion, though it's also revealed that he has killed Electro, Shocker, and Vulture off-screen as well.

Spider-Man 2 Smashes PlayStation Record

Spider-Man 2's massively successful launch is already breaking records for PlayStation within the first few days following its release.

Now YouTube user clkz has managed to find an out-of-bounds dev room by glitching Spider-Man 2, which potentially reveals a scrapped trophy wall where Kraven the Hunter would have mounted the heads of the supervillains he managed to kill during his time in New York. While the models are not finished, Kraven has the heads of Scorpion, Shocker, and Vulture on display, with Rhino dead-center. While there is evidence in Spider-Man 2 to suggest that Electro, Scorpion, Shocker, and Vulture are all dead, there isn't that same evidence for Rhino's potential death.

All the Villains That Die in Spider-Man 2

  • Rhino (Unconfirmed)
  • Scorpion
  • Shocker
  • Vulture

Rhino had a major role in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but isn't really a factor in Spider-Man 2. It's possible Insomniac scrapped the Kraven trophy wall because it plans on bringing Rhino back in a future game, but it's also possible that Rhino is indeed canonically dead after the events of Spider-Man 2. Fans won't really know for sure unless Insomniac comments on this discovery or if a future game provides clarification.

Those that have played through the Spider-Man 2 story will know that not only are Electro, Scorpion, Shocker, and Vulture dead in the Insomniac Spider-Man game universe, but Kraven the Hunter himself is also killed off by the time the story wraps up. It's revealed that Kraven's hunts in the game are basically a suicide mission, as he's trying to find an opponent capable of killing him in battle before he can succumb to a terminal illness. Ultimately, Kraven is killed by Venom in one of the game's most shocking scenes.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is out now for PS5.
