The popularity of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has always been high and with the success of the recent Spider-Verse films, the hero's stock has never been higher. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is thus perfectly positioned to give that more of a boost, propelling both Peter Parker and Miles Morales into the spotlight again.
The game also presents a unique opportunity to tie the two properties together through certain references and Easter eggs. Curious players will have the opportunity to gather a bunch of Spider-Bots left around New York City, apparently left there from across an alternate dimension, to witness an interesting scene at the end of the collecting journey. If that is something worth chasing down, consider using this guide to locate all those hard-to-find Spider-Bots in Spider-Man 2.
One Marvel's Wolverine Feature Will Likely Be a Lot Less Extensive Than in Spider-Man 2
Time will tell how similar Marvel's Wolverine will be to the Marvel's Spider-Man games, but one feature could be comparatively toned down.
All Spider-Bots in Spider-Man 2
Progress through the main story of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 until Ganke calls about receiving strange signals from Spider-Bots that have suddenly appeared in the city. Players can start hunting down these objects and begin the journey to unearthing their origins.
Each Spider-Bot retrieved rewards some XP alongside valuable tech parts, so they are definitely worth chasing. They also look cool as collectibles, which is an added bonus. A total of 42 Spider-Bots can be obtained, so buckle up for a treasure hunt unlike any other.
Greenwich Spider-Bots Locations
Spider-Man 2099
The one that starts it all off, listen to Ganke and grab this first Spider-Bot, and begin the city-wide hunt from this location.
Flipside
Living up to its name, the Flipside Spider-Bot can be found in this location, but not where you would normally find the machines. Instead, get near and under the buildings to find this on a ceiling.
JJJ
The JJJ Spider-Bot can be found in the most perfect of places in Greenwich. Look for the giant mural of the esteemed editor depicted in tears and diapers, and grab the Spider-Bot.
Harlem Spider-Bots Location
Ultimate
The Ultimate Spider-Bot is located in Harlem, found in the southwestern corner, crawling about by the side of a structure.
Anya Corazon
The Latin Spider-Girl makes an appearance in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as this particular Spider-Bot is located in Harlem. Head to this location to find it by a brightly colored mural.
Across the Spider-Verse
A more pertinent reference and a definite must-find for fans of the recent movies, move eastwards to find this particular Spider-Bot.
Upper West Side Spider-Bots Location
Dusk
Found in the corner of the Upper West Side, find the Dusk Spider-Bot doing its thing by the side of a building.
Spider-Girl
The Spider-Girl Spider-Bot is on the opposite end of the previous one; just swing on over and look for the giant glass panels of a nearby building to find it.
Secret Wars
A much easier find than the rest in the Upper West Side, head northwards to find the Secret Wars Spider-Bot crawling on the brick wall.
Central Park Spider-Bots Locations
Spider-Man 1602
When in Central Park, seek out some green in the center of the area, where the Spider-Man 1602 Spider-Bot can be found.
Iron Spider
As for the Iron Spider Spider-Bot, head to this underpass in Central Park to find it chilling in the darkness.
Upper East Side Spider-Bots Locations
Spider-Man Noir
The first Spider-Bot that can be found in the Upper East Side is the Spider-Man Noir one, found on the side of a building at this location.
Spider-Armor MK III
This Spider-Bot is hiding behind a billboard at this location, so make sure to check thoroughly in case it is missed.
Aracnido Jr.
Another alternate Spider-Man getting some love, locate the Aracnido Jr. Spider-Bot on glass windows at this location in the city.
Hell's Kitchen Spider-Bots Location
Spirit Spider
Finding a perfect home in Hell's Kitchen, the Spirit Spider Spider-Bot is just hanging out in this particular part of the region.
Rhino
Swing over the eastern side of Hell's Kitchen to find the Rhino Spider-Bot near the top of some smokestacks.
Future Foundation
Right at the northeast corner of the region is the Future Foundation Spider-Bot. Look out for its ping while crawling about on the windows of a building.
Vulture
Living up to its namesake, the Vulture Spider-Bot is found high up in the skies above Hell's Kitchen. As usual, approach using the Web Wings to grab this as either Spider-Man.
Midtown Spider-Bots Locations
Spider-UK
Get over to Midtown in New York City and start scanning the sides of buildings. This is where the Spider-UK Spider-Bot is making a home for itself.
Spider-Punk
Found much higher than other Spider-Bots, it makes sense that the Spider-Punk variant is living life by its own rules up near the skies.
Spider-Monkey
Another Spider-Bot living up to its name, head to this location in Midtown to find this variant crawling about on the side of a building.
Chinatown Spider-Bots Locations
Mister Negative
A slightly harder one to get, it can only be grabbed in the air using Web Wings to get near it. Get to the tallest building and glide from there, aiming for the pulse the Spider-Bot puts out to ensure it's added to the collection.
Spider-Woman
The second Spider-Bot in Chinatown is located on the side of a building. Climb up to grab the Spider-Woman Spider-Bot.
Spider-Armor MK II
This armored critter is found near a mural that can be found in Chinatown. Look for the large visual of a woman in front of a multi-sided die to locate this one.
Financial District Spider-Bots Location
Classic Mysterio
Jump over to the Financial District and get up really high in order to spot the Classic Mysterio Spider-Bot suspended in the air. Use the Web Wings to get near and either Spider-Man will reach out and get it.
Spider-Ham
The second Spider-Bot in this area is the Spider-Ham variant. Head to the eastern side of the area and find this critter climbing about on the side of a building.
Astoria Spider-Bots Locations
Classic
The Classic Spider-Bot is located in this part of Astoria. It should be easy enough to spot, thanks to the largely bland background it is on.
Blood-Spider
The Blood-Spider Spider-Bot is equally easy to find once players head over to this location. The brown bricks will make it obvious enough.
Shocker
Look up in the sky when traveling past this part of Astoria, as the Shocker Spider-Bot can be obtained using height and the Web Wings.
Mangaverse
Get near the suburbs to the eastern side of Astoria to find the Mangaverse Spider-Bot getting busy on the side of a building.
Downtown Queens Spider-Bots Locations
Stealth
Unlike its name, this Spider-Bot is quite detectable in broad daylight. Look for it on the exterior walls of a house in Downtown Queens.
Into the Spider-Verse
Another neat movie reference, locate this Spider-Bot on the baseball field in this area of the city.
Gwen Stacy
Gwen Stacy finally makes an appearance as part of the collection, located in this area in Downtown Queens.
Little Odessa Spider-Bots Locations
Scarlet Spider
Look for the Scarlet Spider Spider-Bot near the top of this round structure in Little Odessa to add it to the collection.
Electro-Proof Spider-Man
Get to this particular place in Little Odessa to find this interesting-looking Spider-Bot on a wall.
Black Cat Noir
The last Spider-Bot here is the Black Cat Noir variant, found on the roof of a shelter near the water's edge.
Williamsburg Spider-Bots Location
Prowler
One for Miles to ponder further about, the Prowler Spider-Bot is found on this building in Williamsburg.
Scorpion
​​​Another Spider-Bot that has chosen the skies to be its home; look up high in this area to spot the Scorpion variant.
Downtown Brooklyn Spider-Bots Locations
Peni Parker
The charming Peni Parker's variant of a Spider-Bot can be found in Downtown Brooklyn; just seek out those reflective glass surfaces.
Superior
Head to the train tracks in the area and check out one of the connecting struts. The Superior Spider-Bot can be found on one of them.
Mysterio
Instead of the classic, get the modern version of the Mysterio Spider-Bot found within this structure. Head to the roof and look closely in order not to miss it.
Sensational Spider-Man
The last one of them all, get the Sensational Spider-Man Spider-Bot in a car park located here.
Rewards for Getting All Spider-Bots in Marvel's Spider-Man 2
After the hard work of getting all 42 Spider-Bots in the game, players will be directed to a location in the city, where their origins will be revealed. Swing on over to find a dimensional portal opening up in the wall.
After the cutscene, players will walk away with 400 tech parts and 1000 XP, along with all the other precious tech parts gained from grabbing every Spider-Bot.
