New content was just added to Spellbreak, the magic and wizardry battle royale from Proletariat, Inc. The Spellbreak shop has received quite a few updates as of late, as just two days ago, the Smoldering Warrior Outfit was added, as was the Feathering Freefall Cloudburst and Saphire Purity Afterglow. Now, the game receives a new Bundle, Outfit, and Artifact.
Spellbreak is a relatively well-received battle royale that entered into a crowded genre. Continual content, whether it be updates or shop items, can help keep the game fresh and even bring in new players.
The newest shop update to Spellbreak sees the Black Knight Bundle, the Brooding Corvid Outfit, and the Luminous Cocoon Artifact. Each store item is unique and exciting. Players can make purchases with Gold, the game's in-game currency (that can also be added upon with a premium purchase).
The big update for Spellbreak came with Chapter 1, which was long-awaited. Along with new story elements, Chapter 1 added a chapter pass, new map updates, evolutions to gameplay, and much more. A game like Spellbreak needs to remain relevant with new and refreshed content regularly. That could mean new skins, changed up gameplay, new maps, new playable characters, and more. This is not easy to do and takes a lot of work from the development team. The work is very much different than say a Spider-Man: Miles Morales, with a strict timeline and a deadline. Once the game is done, for the most part, the team is finished with the project and moves on to the next game. With a game like Spellbreak, the goal, in many ways, is for the game to last as long as possible.
