In Soulmask, players will need to face several different challenges as they adapt to survive and master the power of their Mask. Along the way, they will also need to complete a variety of quests to earn XP, rewards, and make progress through the game.
At some point, players will need to complete the Obtaining Alpaca Cubs quest, which as the title suggests, involves them securing some Alpaca cubs from various sources around the map. However, there is a bug that may prevent players from actually progressing and completing this quest, so knowing how to work around this issue if it occurs is fairly important. How to Fix the Obtaining Alpaca Cubs Bug in Soulmask
Alpacas is one of several animal mounts in Soulmask that can be acquired to aid your exploration and navigation across the various map terrains. These mounts can all be found in specific locations of the wilderness or particular settlements, so it's no surprise there are a few quests or objectives involving them. One such quest will see players needing to acquire Alpaca cubs for themselves, yet a tricky bug has been stopping players from being able to complete this quest, despite having obtained the required Alpaca cubs.
Luckily, this has already been identified by Soulmask devs, who released the following statement regarding the matter:
"We have noticed that some players have been unable to complete the “Obtaining Alpaca Cubs” section of the newbie quest. After investigation, it is due to the fact that the alpaca cubs obtained from the Small Ruins camps do not trigger the completion of this quest. Currently, you can get baby alpacas from Barbarian Barrack in Rainforest/Hills. Our development team has been informed of this issue and is working hard to fix it ASAP. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused!"
As suggested by the devs themselves, as well as a handful of other players who had found this solution, or other solutions beforehand, the easiest way to remedy this bug is to simply go and get the baby Alpacas from Barbarian Barrack in the Rainforest/Hills area. You shouldn't have to spend any time helping the baby Alpacas to grow or even take them back to your camp, simply pick them up, and then drop them off again if you do not wish to keep them.
You will need to keep in mind if you are playing on a largely populated shared server, there is a possibility that baby Alpacas may be missing from Barbarian Barrack if other players have got to them first. Luckily, there are other Tribes and camps that have Alpacas, such as the Claw Tribe , or other camps in the Jungle area of the map.
