Information regarding upcoming fighting game sequel Soul Calibur 6 has been slowly coming out. Mainly in the form of characters, with the most recent being the confirmation of Maxi returning. It now seems another returning character has been revealed, as well.

A new trailer for Soul Calibur 6 was released today and it shows that Talim will be returning for the newest entry in the fighting game series. She is shown using her dual elbow blades, Syi Sarika and Loka Luha, along with the Dancing Wind style of fighting to take down her opponents. Some of the opponents shown included the likes of Ivy, Taki, and Zasalamel. Talim is the sole remaining wind priestess who wants to obtain the Soul Edge, not to be used, but to guard the rest of the world against the evil it is capable of.

Of course, Talim and Maxi aren't the only returning characters confirmed for the game. As shown in the new trailer, Ivy and Taki will be making their way to the new game as well, along with a few others, like Kilik and Nightmare. Another character that is also coming back is Yoshimitsu, who had his own trailer shown off a few months back.

Now returning characters are all well and great, especially for long-time fans of the series, but those same players also look forward to seeing what new fighters will be added to the roster. It is especially exciting to see what crossover characters make their way to the game. In the past, Darth Vader and Yoda have been included, along with the likes of Link and Spawn. Soul Calibur 6 will have its own crossover in the form of Geralt from the Witcher series.

A numbered entry hasn't been made to the Soul Calibur series since the fifth one came out all the way back in 2012. Since then, some free-to-play and mobile versions have been released, but fans have still been clamoring for a proper entry in the series. Those fans won't have long to wait, though, as Soul Calibur 6 is expected to launch this October on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Soul Calibur 6 will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 19, 2018.
