Sony is beginning to reveal the specifics behind its next big upcoming Playstation sale. The Days of Play Sale, set to begin next week, will offer PlayStation players discounts on some of its biggest PS4 and PS5 titles.

A few weeks ago, the PlayStation Store held its Golden Week Sale, which offered some deep discounts on several big-name bundles, including Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package, Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle, and the Jak and Daxter Bundle. The Days of Play Sale will reportedly have a focus on AAA games from the current Sony consoles.

The Days of Play Sale will offer deals on a variety of titles. According to PlayStation's US site, some PS5 highlights include MLB The Show 21, Demon's Souls Remake, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales: Ultimate Edition, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. The PS4 options overlap with the newer console, though they're not all cross-generational games. Ghost of TsushimaThe Last of Us Part 2, and Predator: Hunting Grounds will be cheaper than they normally are. While the US dollar prices unfortunately remain unknown, based off the UK pricing provided by Push Square, players can expect discounts ranging from 15 to 50 percent off.

While the total number of titles currently known to be part of the sale is fairly small, Sony has teased "additional deals" that have yet to be listed. While the Days of Play Sale doesn't begin until May 26, PlayStation has another sale happening now. The PlayStation Store has a massive sale on remasters and retro games, consisting of well over 200 titles. The sale includes classics like Bully and Shadow of the Colossus for single-digit dollar amounts, and features huge deals on bundles as well.

The upcoming sale is part of PlayStation's annual Days of Play event. The celebration goes beyond a simple video game sale, encompassing the PlayStation Player Celebration. The celebration tasks players with unlocking a variety of digital goodies, but the catch is that its only feasible if the PlayStation community at large bands together. If players manage to reach certain "games played" and "trophies earned" milestones, they'll unlock prizes such as exclusive avatars and dynamic themes.

The Days of Play Sale is sure to catch the attention of anyone who owns a PS4 or PS5. While PlayStation PR states these offers will be available in-store, it stands to reason it would have the same offerings online seeing as how the vast majority of PlayStation game sales have been digital.
