Sons of the Forest is a dark survival horror game that challenges gamers' hunting, foraging, and fighting skills by dropping them in the middle of enemy-infested woods. The highly anticipated sequel to The Forest brings new gameplay while maintaining a similar feel and energy that its predecessor is known for.
Despite being delayed multiple times in 2022, Endnight Games is sticking to its final drop date by releasing the game in Early Access on PC. According to the description on Steam, the Early Access period will last approximately 6–8 months while the team adds more gameplay, items, and features. Sons of the Forest goes into Early Access starting February 23, 2023, for PC players on Steam, with no word on console versions currently.

PC players are the only ones who can enjoy Sons of the Forest while it's in Early Access, and they can play solo with new advanced AI companions or with up to eight friends using the online co-op. The game is set to launch on Steam for USD 29.99 on February 23-24th at the following times:

Sons of The Forest System Requirements
With the Early Access version, players can expect a unique story that includes more exploration, crafting and building systems, and a lively and ever-changing environment. There will also be a more extensive arsenal of weapons for combat against the various demons and enemies scattered around the forest.
The system requirements for Sons of the Forest are listed on Steam. Players will need at least an Intel Core I5-8400 or AMD RYZEN 3 3300X as the minimum processor, but the recommended is an Intel Core I7-8700K or AMD RYZEN 5 3600X for the smoothest operation. Additionally, 16GB of memory guarantees plenty of game space.
Graphics-wise, an NVIDIA GeForce 1080Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT yields the best results, but players can get by with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB.
