In Sons of the Forest, players are challenged to explore a cannibal-filled forest, mutant-invested caves, and a snowy mountaintop in search of answers for the remote island's inhabitants, who, what, and why. At the same time, they must survive on the island and ensure they are taking care of their basic needs and withstanding the harsh conditions of certain seasons. While on the island, quite a few hidden items or gear assist them in their plights, including the Wetsuit.
The Wetsuit helps players swim a lot faster while wearing it. This is handy when deep diving in underwater tunnels or swimming in the shark invested ocean. Additionally, during Winter, players risk getting cold and wet the longer they spend in the water, negatively affecting their Stamina and Vitality. So, here's everything needed to locate the Wetsuit in Sons of the Forest.
Preparing to Get the Wetsuit
The Wetsuit is stashed in one of the caves on the island. As a result, there are some equipment players must grab first to complete their journey, including the following:
- The Rebreather
- The Rope Gun
Easier said than done, as both items are in their own respective caves, but players can go after them on Day 1 after they crash on the island. The Rebreather is found inside a cave near the beach spawn point on the northern beach shore. The cave is relatively short compared to others, so it is a good starting point. The Rope Gun is found in a cave further south on the island's western side. Players can grab the Flashlight on their way there to assist with visibility inside the cave.
The caves are very dangerous, so players should be stocked up with weapons, meds, food, and water before they attempt these journeys. A ranged weapon like the Pistol or a Crafted Bow and Arrow is the best way to take down the mutants without putting players at arm's length. If players are nervous about dying and losing progress, they can use a Tarp and a Stick to build a tent where they can sleep or save their game.
Wetsuit Location in Sons of the Forest
With the Rebreather and the Rope Gun in hand, players can get the Wetsuit. The Wetsuit is found inside a cave near the mountain on the island's west side, between the Rebreather and Rope Gun's caves. Players can use the GPS and find the Purple GPS marker where the Flashlight is found for a more exact location; the Wetsuit cave is south of the marker. The entrance is inside a small pond with three deceased soldiers speared on spikes right outside.
After going inside the cave, players will come across a Zipline over a drop-off. If they have the Rope Gun, a Zipline symbol will appear when close enough, and they can ride it down to the cave's lower level. Next, take the Zipline down to a large pool of water and a handful of supplies on the rocks. Here is where the Rebreather comes into play, and players must equip it and an Air Tank from their Inventory. Then, to continue forward, dive into the water and swim downward.
Follow the underwater tunnel to another small open room. Several ammo cases and resources are next to the water. Follow the path a little way, and the Wetsuit, along with an Air Tank and Pistol Ammo, is on the ground propped up on a rock.
To wear the Wetsuit, go into the Inventory and look toward the bottom right corner to find and select it to put it on. Several mutants will be in this area, so be careful while picking up the items. Players can continue forward after the shovel and find the exit from there.
