Sons of the Forest got several significant updates during its early access period. Each update added game improvements, enemies, and essential items, including transportation methods. For example, several broken-down Golf Carts exist around the forest, but players can drive around using specific ones.
The island is expansive in Sons of the Forest, and players must travel to all corners to find all the weapons, key items, and points of interest. However, this isn't a simple task between the rough terrains and cannibal camps full of hostile enemies. Golf Carts make the trek across the forest significantly faster, and players can escape cannibals easier.
Where to Find Drivable Golf Carts in Sons of the Forest
While there are Golf Carts all around the island, most of them no longer work. The unusable carts are white and may have broken roofs or bodies in them. Players can tell which Golf Carts are drivable by their light blue color. No other items are needed to drive one, so players can get one as soon as they crash-land onto the island.
Drivable Golf Carts are found in many places around the island, but there's a surplus on the northeast side near the golf course. Players can also get the Revolver while they're in the area. Players will know they're getting close when they see the pin flags. There are also Golf Carts on the east beach just south of the golf courses near the docking area.
How to Drive a Golf Cart in Sons of the Forest
To drive a Golf Cart, walk up to it and wait for the steering wheel icon to appear. Interact with it to hop into the driver's seat and then move forward as usual. The Golf Cart gets up to high speeds, so steering it can be tricky. It can drive off the trials but is much smoother where there's less debris.
If the Golf Cart gets stuck on something, players can hop out and push it at the back to knock it forward. They can drive it back to their base, and it will stay wherever they leave it. Players can even lounge in the passenger seat if they want to. The Golf Cart is quite large, but players have other options for faster travel in Sons of the Forest.
They can find a E.U.C. Knight V, a ridable electronic unicycle to zoom across the forest. Additionally, there are Hang Gliders all around the island on top of mountains or near waterfalls, allowing players to fly.
