This pre-made item will allow players to take to the skies, using the massive mountain in the center of the island (and other tall areas) as jumping-off points. Where To Find The Hang Glider In Sons Of The Forest
Thankfully, there are no restrictions to getting the Hang Glider and players are free to grab it as soon as they enter the game. Depending on where they spawn, the Hang Glider will either be fairly close, or a bit of a trek. Players will need to climb up towards the mountain as the flying device is located on a snow-covered ridge near an abandoned campsite. It's fairly easy to get to and players won't have to climb too far up the mountainside before they'll gain access to the Hang Glider. Once found, players can interact with the tool to strap into it.
How To Use The Hang Glider In Sons Of The Forest
Unfortunately, the Hang Glider isn't craftable and doesn't fold up for storage. This means it's a carryable item that players can lose if they're not careful. Once players interact with the Hang Glider they will "put it on." Once wearing it, players are then free to simply jump off a high surface to take to the skies. There are no button prompts and the Hang Glider will automatically start working as soon as players leap off the ledge. Players must also be at a certain height to use the device, and it won't activate simply by jumping from a standing position. Players that wish to put the Hang Glider down can hit the G key on their keyboard to drop it.
The Hang Glider is capable of carrying players long distances once in the air. They can turn left and right by hitting the appropriate keys and can dip up and down. Heading downward will allow players to build up more speed and pulling up will cause them to slow down and glide higher. The Hang Glider uses momentum to stay afloat and can fly impressive distances once players get used to its controls.
