After Sonic Frontiers made itself known to fans through rather tricky marketing campaigns in the last few months, the game's presence at Gamescom 2022 has reinvigorated what a lot of future players think of the title. The game certainly looks promising as of the latest trailer, and now, preorders for the game have opened for those who wish to secure their copy. There are a fair few different options for fans to choose from with this title, but thankfully they aren't as confusing as what Sonic Origins had to offer.
Sonic Frontiers has two different versions available - the standard edition and the Digital Deluxe edition. The Digital Deluxe comes with a "mini soundtrack" of 25 tracks and a digital art book, as well as an "Explorer's Treasure Box" that gives players a rather strong starting boost with a few of Amy Rose's memory tokens, a Cyber Space portal gear, some Chaos Emerald vault keys, and some unique cosmetics for Sonic.
However, everyone who preorders the base game can claim a bundle known as the "Adventurer's Treasure Box." This bundle comes with blue seeds of defense, blue seeds of power, and skill points to help players get a head start on strengthening Sonic's stats. Some retailers have exclusive pre-order bonus items for those who place their order with them, but these are limited to the standard, physical editions of the game.
No Significant Preorder Bonuses
As of this writing, the retailers listed here don't offer any exclusive preorder bonuses for Sonic Frontiers outside the Adventurer's Treasure Box. Players can still get something extra by choosing the Digital Deluxe edition if they desire to, or they could simply support the specific retailer they prefer by placing their order with them.

US GameStop Exclusive Preorder Bonus
GameStop is offering an exclusive steelbook with Sonic running through Kronos Island as its illustration to US-based customers. In order for fans to secure their copy of the game with the steelbook, they just need to go to GameStop's website and pick their platform of choice. According to the Canadian website, this is exclusively only available in the States.
Best Buy Exclusive Preorder Bonus
Similar to GameStop, Best Buy is offering another steelbook for fans who preorder with them. However, this one seems to be just the game's logo over the cryptic shapes that Sonic Frontiers was originally teased with. For those who just want a simplistic cover for their steelbook, this may be a better option than GameStop's, but it's all up to what fans prefer.
How to Get the Japan-Exclusive Limited and Deluxe Editions
In Japan, fans are able to get more than just a steelbook with their copy of the physical game. There are two special bundles available. There's a limited edition that comes with an art book and a charm of the new Koco creatures scattered around the Starfall Islands, but there is also a deluxe edition that includes a Sonic Frontiers poster, a Koco pencil case, a postcard booklet, three magnets, and stickers of Sonic with his friends and a few Kocos.
There's also an optional acrylic stand fans can buy. These bundles can be found on Amazon Japan, which can ship internationally. For those interested, fans can click the links below to select which bundle they want.

If players wish to get the Japan-exclusive bonuses but aren't sure if Amazon Japan will work for them, they should keep an eye on Playasia. Its storefront has stocked numerous Japanese collector's editions before, and while Sonic Frontiers' exclusives have yet to be listed as of this writing, they may be listed at a later date. Sonic Frontiers will launch on November 8 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
