In Sonic's latest adventure, fans need to traverse five islands and solve puzzles in order to expand a wide map for easier navigation. Sonic Frontiers features just over a hundred island challenges for fans to complete, with some being harder to find than others.

By the time fans reach the third island, Chaos Island, their navigational skills in Sonic Frontiers are really put to the test as the volcanic area is made up of some smaller separated mountain tops that need to be reached through different rail systems around the island. Thankfully, once players find the one or two island challenges on these smaller areas, they'll be made much easier to get to through Ancient Rails.

Sonic Frontiers: The Location of M-066

M-066 can be found on a small island on the bottom right-hand corner of the map. While this location may be optional for players to unlock, the challenge may require some thought in order for players to get the Chaos Island Explorer Trophy in Sonic Frontiers. To get to this island, fans should keep an eye out for an arch on the cliff side of the island with a rail poking through. These arches will lead to many of the small mountaintops scattered around the area.

How to Solve the M-066 Puzzle in Sonic Frontiers

This puzzle is a simple Cyloop-based challenge in which players need to use Sonic's newest ability around a few fire pits to put them out. Fans should be used to them by now as similar puzzles are found on Kronos Island and Ares Island.

There are five flames in total that fans need to put out, with the first four creating platforms that appear around the fifth suspended in the air. Without extinguishing the four, players can't Cyloop around the fifth. Thankfully, they're not too far away. The first two are out in the open in the ruins for the challenge, and the third can be found a bit to the right behind the wreckage. The fourth is on the right-hand side of the ruins, next to a secondary wall. Once they're all put out, fans can find a spring to the left of the third flame, next to the top left-hand corner of the ruins. That spring will take them to the platform, and allow them to Cyloop around the fifth flame, completing the challenge.

As long as players have completed some of the other nearby island challenges on Chaos Island, they should be able to come back to this island without having to search for the archway, instead opting to take some Ancient Rails instead, which makes backtracking in the area much easier.

Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
