Sonic Frontiers is an open-world Sonic game that is filled to the brim with puzzles. Each puzzle is designated by a number, and these get progressively harder as those numbers go up. But there is a weird one that is found early on in the game; this is puzzle number M-008. When players walk up to this early-game location, there isn't much around, and some Sonic fans may have trouble finding the items they are supposed to interact with in order to solve it. But thankfully, M-008 is a fairly easy-to-solve puzzle, so players will only need a little hint to get going in the right direction in this 3D Sonic adventure game.

Location of M-008 in Sonic Frontiers

Like all the puzzles in Sonic Frontiers, this puzzle is distinguished from its surroundings by a diamond-shaped sign. This sign will be white with red text before it is solved. It is located in the starting area of Kronos Island near Elder Koco. This is the large, chubby koco, not the tall skinny koco, even though both can give Sonic higher move speeds or more ring capacity. It is also close to the M-009 Sonic Frontiers puzzle.

The sign will be located in a small circle of flowers, and it will look like this:

How to Solve M-008 in Sonic Frontiers

Thankfully, this puzzle is a lot easier than it may seem at first glance. In order to solve it, Sonic just needs to use his Cyloop powers.Draw a circle around the flowers, not over or inside the flower circle. This should cut down all the flowers and solve the puzzle. Each flower doesn't need to be cut in one swoop; if any are missed, players can go back over the area with the Sonic Frontier skill and knock the rest of the buds down.

A great tip for any beginner to Sonic Frontiers is to use the Cyloop as often as possible. This move can help solve puzzles and dig up rings and other items from hidden spots on the ground. In order to use it, press and hold the Cyloop button, then draw a circle around an object. Once the circle turns from blue to pink, the circle is complete and will activate anything inside it once the Cyloop button is let go.

If Sonic Frontiers players have a hard time holding onto rings, keep running in circles over random parts of the land. This will continue to give up rings for quite some time.

Sonic Frontiers is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
