Solo Leveling: Arise gives players control of Sung Jinwoo as he levels up and gets stronger. With each level, he will gain points in every stat while also getting skill points for players to assign to the skills of their choice.

Players will also be unlocking and leveling up various hunters that, along with Sung Jinwoo increase the player's total power. Players will need a higher overall power to take on the more difficult fights they will quickly face, and leveling up isn't the only way to increase power.

Leveling Up Sung Jinwoo & Hunters In Solo Leveling: Arise

The Player Getting EXP As An Item

The most straightforward way of getting stronger is by gaining experience and leveling up the player's level which also acts as Sung Jinwoo's level. Sung Jinwoo will immediately get stronger and the max level of any unlocked Hunter will also increase to match that of Sung Jinwoo. In the Hunters menu, simply press the up arrow in the top left of the screen to spend gold and level up a Hunter as many times as you can.

Upgrading Weapons & Artifacts In Solo Leveling: Arise

The Player Leveling Up A Weapon

The next best way to increase an individual Hunter or Sung Jinwoo's is by equipping them with weapons and artifacts. Both the Sung Jinwoo and Hunters menu will have a slot in the bottom right of the screen that allows for a weapon to be equipped. Sung Jinwoo can eventually equip a second weapon to further his bonuses while Hunters can only equip one.

Selecting a weapon or going to the Weapons menu will also let players use gold and various resources depending on the weapon to level it up. Players can also use copies of a weapon to Advance the weapon and make its most powerful skill even stronger. Along the bottom right of the menu for a specific weapon is the Skills option which lets players also upgrade the individual skills a weapon gives a Hunter access to.

Players can also go to the Artifacts menu to upgrade various armor pieces found. Hunters can equip up to four Artifacts each offering their own additional stats to the character who equips it. There are also armor sets that offer bonuses for characters who equip multiple artifacts from the same set. Artifacts can also be enhanced to increase their base stats, but this also works on a percentage chance for success often making it require more resources. Players can equip Artifacts on Sung Jinwoo or Hunters in their respective menus.

Upgrading Skills In Solo Leveling: Arise

The Player Upgrading Some Of Sung Jinwoo's Skills

In the Sung Jinwoo menu select the Skills option in the bottom left to open up the list of skills he has access to. Each skill can be upgraded using [Player] Skill Scrolls and gold, while also being enhanced with Runes that add additional effects onto the skill while also sometimes just boosting its base stats. Leveling up individual skills only offers a slight boost in Power but will quickly add up over time as Skill Scrolls are fairly common loot.

Individual Hunters also have a Skills menu to open up and view. Along the left side of the screen before the Hunter inventory will be the available skills a Hunter has. All of these Skills can be leveled up also using Skill Scrolls. Sung Jinwoo doesn't share skill scrolls with regular Hunters, but all Hunters use the same type of skill scrolls. While there are many Hunters to collect, be sure to think carefully before spending Skill Scrolls on a Hunter as they cannot be transferred to another one like weapons and artifacts.
