How To Find Dungeon Breaks & Special Gates In Solo Leveling: Arise
Dungeon Breaks appear as Purple Gates, while Special Gates appear as Gold Gates on the Gates screen. Both types of Gates have a random chance of appearing when you scan a new area for Gates. New Gates will appear after players clear out all available Gates on the screen. Players can also choose to Rescan that area and spawn new Gates. The higher the difficulty that is selected, the more gates will spawn, increasing the odds of a Special Gate or Dungeon Break appearing.
A Rescan can be done every few minutes for free and is the preferred method for those seeking out a specific type of Gate as it won't use up all your daily Gate Keys. A Rescan can be done using Essence Stones but it's usually best to wait for the free option instead of wasting Essence Stones on being impatient. Rescanning will make any currently discovered Special Gates or Dungeon Breaks disappear, so be sure to try and clear them before changing the difficulty if needed.

Dungeon Breaks have monsters from a Gate breaking out into the real world. Players will control Sung Jinwoo during these missions with other equipped Hunters joining in for a team fight against the final boss. Dungeon Breaks offers powerful upgrade Designs and Cubes that can be used to Limit Break weapons of the same element. While other methods for obtaining Cubes exist, this is the easiest.
Special Gates, or Gold Gates, focus on giving the player more Gold upon completion. Some regular rewards for Gates still apply, but players can expect a few thousand Gold for clearing one of these. These Gates are best completed with Auto Play turned on, as the AI will know the location of lost Goblins and can get to them and defeat them within the time limit.
