Sniper Elite 4 is a tactical shooter that brings players to Italy in 1943. It continues where Sniper Elite 3 left off and immediately drops players on the island of San Celini in a search for a high-ranking general. As with previous games in the franchise, players need to focus on stealth tactics as they work their way through this island and the rest of Sniper Elite 4’s campaign.

When things go wrong, however, players can start to take a serious amount of damage quickly. This makes mastering the ability to collect health items and use them rapidly essential. Especially for players who are honing their skills for the soon-to-release Sniper Elite 5. For Sniper Elite 4 players looking to collect and use medkits in the game, this guide is here to help.

How to use Medkits in Sniper Elite 4

When players begin the game, they are introduced to Sniper Elite 4's famous killcam, as well as the game’s weapon wheel. This useful feature holds all the essential items and weapons players will need on their first mission as well as throughout the game.

The top, right, and left options on the wheel are the player’s main weapons, while all the other areas are occupied by medical equipment, grenades, and tactical items.

To equip Sniper Elite 4’s medkits, players have to go to the 11 o’clock slot on the wheel and select the medkit. Releasing the weapon wheel should show, in the bottom right corner of the screen, the medkit item with the number of useable options available. When a player gets injured, all they need to do to heal is activate the item using the right bumper.

When to use Medkits in Sniper Elite 4

Medkits are just one option available to players looking to recover from a confrontation in the game. Bandages are another available option and these have their own list of advantages. These items are much more common across the open areas players make their way through in Sniper Elite 4.

In general, medkits are the preferable option for players who have taken some significant damage and found their way out to a quiet place.

Medkits will help recover all the health that was lost but take a bit longer to apply because of this ability.

Both bandages and medkits can be found in supply crates and scattered at camps and around the mission area, but the former are much more common than the latter. If players of Sniper Elite 4, one of the better sniper games, play it safe, they will likely need to use these items less and less.

Sniper Elite is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch.
