Sniper Elite 4 brings players back to the Second World War, but this time places them in Italy in 1943. As with the other titles in the Sniper Elite franchise, there are no shortage of shots to take throughout the game’s campaign. Whether these be long-distance targets against enemy snipers or well-placed shots on enemy machinery, Sniper Elite 4 players will quickly become accustomed to staring down the barrel of their rifle.
Different shots grant different bonuses in Sniper Elite 4's campaign and there is one that can be a bit of a challenge to pull off. What is a Penetrative Shot in Sniper Elite 4?
Players will notice that they get a handful of bonuses with each shot they take. This long list of bonuses includes the penetrative shot which occurs when players successfully kill an enemy through an object.
This can be exceedingly difficult as that object or person removes quite a bit from the bullet’s velocity and ability to inflict damage. On top of this, it can be challenging to line up a shot that will hit one of the killcam organs in Sniper Elite 4.
How to Pull off a Penetrative Shot in Sniper Elite 4
The key to successfully shooting and killing enemies through objects is finding the right ones. Wooden objects such as boxes and doors are a player’s best bet for completing this type of kill.
This material in the game reduces the velocity of bullets much less than other objects and are therefore the best for penetrative shots, especially those that feature Sniper Elite's killcam. In order to even see enemies that are behind objects, players must first use their binoculars and fully mark potential targets.
Once an enemy is behind a wooden object and highlighted, players can line up a shot at one of the more deadly areas of the body. On top of properly highlighting an enemy and making sure they are behind a wooden object, players want to make sure they are using a weapon that boasts a high-velocity shot.
Players can earn and find better rifles in Sniper Elite 4's campaign and the higher velocity these weapons can muster, the better they will be at achieving these shots.
