Cutscenes play an important role in most modern video games, particularly those with a single-player focus. For as enjoyable as the game's cutscenes are though, they might not be to everybody's tastes. Whether they've already completed the game once or are simply in a hurry to get to the finish line, some players may want to skip cutscenes in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. They won't be able to do so by using the four face buttons as they would in most other games, though that's not to say that it isn't possible.

In order to skip cutscenes in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, players will simply need to pause the game by pressing the Options button and then choose the "Skip Cinematic" option. This will work for pretty much every cutscene in the game, no matter how long or short, although there is one big exception early on. For whatever reason, players will not be able to skip the cutscene with Harry and Norman Osborne at the start of the game, at least not at the time of writing.

Given how important the story is to the overall experience, most players probably won't want to skip cutscenes in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Granted, there are quite a lot of them, but they're generally quite short and rarely outstay their welcome. Also, Marvel's Spider-Man is already a relatively short game by modern standards. As such, there's no real incentive to skip cutscenes during one's first playthrough, although there are one or two scenarios where it might be beneficial to players.
