While players will come across many of the resources in Slime Rancher naturally as they play the game, some of them must be targeted more directly. Indigonium is one of the resources that requires fans to focus their efforts somewhat, as there are a very limited number of ways to obtain it. Fortunately, Slime Rancher's Indigonium is not particularly hard to find once its sources are known, and this guide is here to point players in the right direction.

Slime Rancher: Where to Find Indigonium

The simplest way to collect Indigonium is to drill for it, though it can only be extracted from one particular biome. That biome is the Indigo Quarry, and the Slimepedia indicates that Indigonium is the source of the location's name. Life simulation video game fans that are hunting for Indigonium are thus advised to head over to the Indigo Quarry, set down any drills that they have on hand, and wait for the ore, which is a common resource, to start rolling in.

There is also Indigonium to be found in four specific Treasure Pods, with each one of them containing two of the resource. Three of these Treasure Pods are located in the Indigo Quarry, while the fourth can be found in the Ancient Ruins, and their locations have all been marked on the map below. Notably, each of these containers is also home to one of Slime Rancher's Strange Diamonds, a very rare resource, providing some additional incentive for players to put some time toward tracking them down.

Slime Rancher: How to Use Indigonium

Indigonium is used in the crafting of a variety of different items in the fabricator at the Lab, many of which are Decorations. For the uninitiated, Decorations are gadgets that Slime Rancher fans can use to spruce up the game world, and they serve a purely decorative purpose. With respect to the specific Decorations that are crafted from Indigonium, they are the Blue Slime Lamp, the Green Slime Lamp, the Amber Slime Lamp, the Jumbo Shroom, the Minty Grass Patch, the Hexium Formation, the Fireflower Patch, and the Digi Panel.

Additioanlly, players can use Indigonium in the construction of three of the Teleporters in Slime Rancher, which have functionality far beyond Decorations. Notably, Strange Diamonds are also used to craft these Teleporters, and, as previously mentioned, players can get a few of those resources from looting the Indigonium-containing Treasure Pods. And if a player does not need any Decorations or Teleporters, Indigonium can always be turned into Meat Slime Bait or a few different Curios.

Slime Rancher is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
