Currently, there are five new Slimes to discover and a new place to set up her ranch, inside the Conservatory. The Conservatory is a beautiful and seemingly abandoned building that will act as her home away from home. The five new Slimes that Bea and players will meet are Cotton Slime, Flutter Slime, Angler Slime, the mischievous Ringtail Slime, and Batty Slime.

2 The Dark Caves Of Ember Valley

Pink Slime Gordo found in the Rainbow Fields

Unlike Cotton Slime which can be easily found after leaving the Conservatory and stepping into the Rainbow Fields, the Zone to find Batty Slime needs to be unlocked. Luckily, it isn't too difficult to do so. Located northwest of the Rainbow Fields, there's a wild Pink Gordo Slime. Just like in the first game, feeding a Gordo Slime will eventually make it burst, releasing several normal-sized Slimes and a few resources. Unlike in the first game, however, Gordo Slimes don't appear to give keys. Instead, they unlock different locations within Rainbow Island. The Pink Gordo unlocks the Ember Valley Zone, which is where the Batty Slime can be found.

Players simply need to feed the Pink Slime Gordo about 30 pieces of food. Since Pink Slimes don't have a favorite food and eat everything, players can simply harvest the resources already in Rainbow Fields. Popping the Pink Slime Gordo will uncover a geyser and players can use this to jump up onto the nearby cliff, which can be done without unlocking the jetpack. On the cliff, there will be a device, which, once activated, will uncover a hidden, ancient teleportation device that leads to Ember Valley.

Ember Valley is a canyon-filled landscape with a spiral cloud-filled sky and is full of constant geothermic activity like erupting geysers and smoldering ravines of lava. That's why Boom Slime, Crystal Slime, and Fire Slime can also be found in this volcanic valley. There are also resources that can be found in this location. These resources are needed when doing Slime Science. Ember Valley is a great source of Lava Dust and Primordy Oil. Ember Valley is also a great place to start collecting Radiant Ore. When first entering Ember Valley, players should head north to find a cave. Given the slime's namesake and appearance, Batty Slime can be found inside the caves of the Zone.

1 How To Train Your Batty Slime

The Conservatory which acts as Bea's new home

Despite having adorable fangs, Batty Slimes take after fruit bats in the way that they are herbivores. Their favorite food is pomegranate which can be found in a large cave southwest of the teleporter. To get to the Pomegranate Tree, the jetpack needs to be unlocked. Players can then go to the location in the save that has an opening in the ceiling and use the geyser and then the jetpack to send Bea up and clear the rest of the distance. At the top, there will be a tree with dark purplish fruit, which is the Pomegranate Tree. Players should make sure to keep at least one pomegranate so that more can be farmed back at the Conservatory.

It isn't difficult to care for Batty Slime as they are docile slime despite what their fangs and glowing eyes might otherwise suggest. Because Batty Slimes' natural habitats are dark places like caves, it's a good idea to set up their corral in The Den once it is purchased. The Den resembles The Grotto in the first game. If not keeping the Batty Slimes in the Den, players should equip the corral with a Solar Shield.

Sunlight won't kill Batty Slimes like it does Phosphor Slimes, but they will become agitated the longer they're in sunlight. It's also important to upgrade their corral with high walls and an Air Net to keep them from getting out. Batty Slimes become even more hungry at night and will require more food than other Slimes, so it's important to have a large supply of Pomegranates handy. Not only will it make Batty Slime happy, but feeding Slimes their favorite foods doubles how many Plorts can be harvested from them.

There are so many hybrid slimes, known as Largos, that can be created using Batty Slime. Creating a Largo is a good trick to use for those looking to make it even easier to care for their Batty Slime. If the slimes used to make the Largos had different diets, both types of food will be included in their new diet.

Batty Slime only eats fruit, which can be difficult to come by while still getting established. However, if a Batty Slime were to become a Largo with a Slime that ate another type of food, it will have more options when it comes to what it can be fed. If the game settings are set to not spawn Tarr, the player is free to create as many combinations of Largos as they wish.
