There are several special armor sets from players to collect in Skyrim Anniversary Edition, a majority of which have been brought over from Blades, the mobile Elder Scrolls offering.

Among these sets are four pieces of Silver armor, and many players will undoubtedly be interested in obtaining all of them. Indeed, Silver armor in Skyrim is quite stunning to look at, and this guide contains full details on exactly where it comes from.

Updated June 6, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Though Silver Armor was not included in the original releases of Skyrim, it was finally added with the Creation Club for Special Edition and was also included in Anniversary Edition. Many consider Skyrim Silver Armor to be the best-looking version of the armor, which isn't just because of the higher fidelity of Skyrim's graphics compared to other Elder Scrolls games. For Silver Armor Skyrim creators went all out and made one of the most aesthetically-appealing sets in the game. It's not all good things, though, as there are a few downsides associated with Skyrim Silver Armor, like its inability to benefit from certain perks.

Silver Armor can be earned relatively early in Skyrim, and its properties rival those of armors that start appearing around the same time like Steel and Orcish. Though the complete Armor Set doesn't come with a complementary shield and doesn't benefit from the Matching Set perk (typically earned much later than the set starts appearing), it's one of the most stylish in the game.

For Silver Armor Skyrim gives players the look of a classic knight in shining armor, complete with a blue hood and tabard and helmet that fully covers the face. The set can be crafted with the Smithing skill line by gaining the Advanced Armors perk and using a variety of Silver, Iron, and Leather Strips at a Blacksmithing station.

Where to Get Silver Armor in Skyrim

Whiterun Skyrim

To begin, players that want to get their hands on some Silver armor pieces must install the relevant Creation Club content. More specifically, the Creation of interest is called Alternative Armors - Silver, and, as previously noted, it is included in the Skyrim Anniversary Edition. To install it, open-world RPG fans should simply navigate to the Creation Club through the game’s main menu to locate Alternative Armors - Silver. It can be easier to search rather than scroll through the options.

Once the Creation has been installed, players should make their way to the Bannered Mare in Whiterun and track down M'Sharra's Diary. This diary manifests as a note sitting on a table, amidst some plates with candles and cheese on them, and reading it starts the "When the Cat's Away" quest. The beginning of this quest sends players to investigate Dragonsreach Dungeon, where they will find M'Sharra's Confession on the ground in the corner of one of its cells.

A Hut In Rorikstead And The Silver Set

Upon reading the confession, fans will receive M'Sharra's Key and will be told to “retrieve the armor from the Hut.” Indeed, the Skyrim armor that is being referenced by this quest objective is none other than the Silver pieces, and the hut is just northwest of Rorikstead.

While players will need to dispatch several Skeevers in and around this structure, they should have little trouble reaching the chest that is inside, unlocking it, and picking up the Silver Armor, Silver Helmet, Silver Boots, and Silver Gauntlets contained within. It's a relatively heavy armor set for low-level characters, so be sure to level Stamina or take perks to mitigate this.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
