Over a decade since its release, fans continue to jump in and explore the vast open world of Skyrim. Among the many locations encountered by players in the game is Valtheim Towers. Located east of Whiterun, it contains a pair of towers that are often frequented by bandits. Recently, one gamer did something quite impressive while visiting this location, and it shows just how impressive Skyrim's combat sandbox can be.

An Impressive Feat of Skyrim Marksmanship

In a post on Reddit, a user known as walter-fring shared a clip of an incredible collection of trick shots they managed to pull off with a bow in Skyrim. The video started at the Valtheim Towers location as the Reddit user stood near several platforms stationed with bandits. The player first fired an arrow straight up into the air. They then proceeded to take aim at several bandits in the distance, showing off several impressive shots.

Following this, they jumped across a gap to reach one of the nearby platforms, where they used a spell to keep the stationed enemy from attacking. They then launched a deadly fireball at a lonely bandit down below. However, the most incredible part of the clip came when the player took a seat next to the enemy beside them. After a brief moment, the original arrow shot into the sky finally came back down, eliminating the final bandit.

In addition to showing off their impressive archery skills, walter-fring provided some details on how they performed the trick shots. According to the Reddit user, the Unofficial Patch was the only mod necessary to pull off this highlight in Skyrim as it increased the distance that arrows could be fired without disappearing. In addition, they revealed that the shout, Whirlwind Sprint, was used to reach the platform seen in the video. They then noted that a Pacify spell was used on the bandit encountered at the one platform, while the effective distance of the fire rune shot at the enemy stationed below the tower was increased by utilizing Ahzidal’s Helm of Vision.

How Skyrim's Community Has Responded

Since walter-fring posted this incredible archery highlight to Reddit, numerous members of the Skyrim community took notice. With over 16.1K upvotes in only a day, many were impressed with the amount of practice needed to achieve this level of proficiency with a bow and arrow. In addition, many liked that the player sat down in a chair to finish off the video.

This is just one of a seemingly countless number of highlights of interesting encounters made by gamers in the open-world world of Skyrim. For example, another fan recently showed off an impressive collection of sweet rolls they managed to collect in the game. As players continue to play the title in the months ahead, it will be interesting to see what new tricks are shared with the community next.
