Most RPGs begin with the character creation screen, and there is many a meme about how this is the longest and most challenging part of every game. Skyrim offers so much freedom when it comes to character creation that the concept of a "class" is completely different from other games.
The class of every character in Skyrim is determined by professions and skills that the player builds up and acquires in the course of gameplay instead of being chosen as a determiner at the beginning. Players can change at any time as long as they work within the basic rules set out by the game. With so many choices available, it may feel ideal for some to let the stars decide their fate.
12 Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) - Monk
The Monk class reflects the independent and mostly humanitarian nature of the calm and learned Aquarius. Advanced players will appreciate the challenge of playing a class that doesn't use weapons in a game famous for its wondrous variety of blades, bows, and projectiles.
Stary by putting talent points in Restoration and Alteration spells and light armor and players should learn the two-handed weapon proficiency in order to use a staff. The Monk class also pairs nicely with professions like Healing or Persuasion if this character wants to have a career.
11 Pisces (February 19- March 20) - Bard
The Pisces is the most musically inclined member of the celestial pantheon, and the Bard is often a natural choice for a person born under this sign in an RPG setting. The class lends itself to a number of possibilities when it comes to professions, abilities, different types of work, where they live, and the company they keep. All of the above is important to the Pisces gamer.
The College of Bards is only one possible choice and virtually any race makes a good Bard, although some are more inclined than others. Bards can moonlight as spies, thieves, or assassins when players want more action, and all Bards should know some Illusion and Alteration spells anyway.
10 Aries (March 21 to April 19) - Forsworn Shaman
Most of the player's other experiences with the Forsworn are as an opposing faction of aggressive rebels that live in Skyrim's wild, forested areas. The Aries person would appreciate the combination of physical prowess and militant attitude typical of both the race and class.
Gamers can play as this faction and class since the garb is easy enough to acquire and the skills needed for the build resemble those of a Wizard. The Shaman class specializes in the magical schools of Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, and Alteration. Combine this with a Profession like Alchemy and concoct potions for the benefit of other Forsworn.
9 Taurus (April 20 - May 20) -Â Alik'r Warrior
Disciplined, patient, and methodical, this race and class combination is one of the most famous in the lore of Skyrim. The enlightened warrior culture of the Alik'r is already renowned, and since this is Skyrim, players are free to either play their characters as pure warriors or give themselves a few points in the Destruction or Restoration schools to aid in their quests.
The Taurus person is of a similar archetype. They gravitate towards warriors, but more like soldiers or knights as opposed to barbarians or bandits, thus the Alik'r Warrior is the ideal choice. Their speech is as refined as their fighting style, and they often take jobs as guarding caravans or as bodyguards to politicians and ambassadors.
8 Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - Witchblade or Spellsword
This choice is like the D&D Hexblade or the classic Fighter-Mage multiclass, depending on the preference. The question is whether the character needs to pledge themselves to an otherworldly patron or not, and what spell school would make more sense for the build.
Destruction and Restoration are the primary interests of this combo class, and for the Witchblade path, players can add one-handed weapon proficiencies and spells from the Illusion school into the build as the character progresses. Players can use any kind of armor and the choices might depend on a character's lore and backstory.
7 Cancer (June 21 - July 22) - Priest
The Priests that appear in the game are often Dragon Priests, but the class is by no means limited to this faction. A Cancer likes to have certain guidelines to follow while at the same time, having some freedom when it comes to creative features like lore, backstory, and related legends.
There are a variety of gods in Skyrim, known as the Aedra and Daedra, and any class that needs a patron deity can choose any number of them. Priest spells can include Restorative and Conjuration spells along with skills like Speech and Sneak depending on the church of choice.
6 Leo (July 23 -August 22) - Nord Hero
A hulking shield inlaid with silver, a furry white mantle cut from an epic monster, and crowned with a steel helm decorated with massive curved horns. This is a figure that commands attention and respect wherever they go and the Leo person is all over that. The Nord Hero starts with talent points in weapon and armor skills but they are also skilled craftspeople, and the Taurus appreciates the finer things in life.
5 Virgo (August 23 - September 22) - Bandit Scout
There are so many ways to enjoy the great outdoors in Skyrim, and one thing that makes a hike through the woods even more fun is robbing innocent travelers. Ther Scout is similar to the Ranger class but also with a lot of elements of the Thief and Barbarian thrown in, and since the Virgo enjoys physical activities and being close to nature, this is the ideal class for them.
Light Armor and Sneak are a high priority for this class, and players can choose their weapons depending on their preference for melee or ranged combat. A Virgo can get in touch with their humanitarian side and play a Robin Hood type of character as a Bandit Scout.
4 Libra (September 23 - October 22) - Vampire
Players that want to try an entirely different game, one that requires striking a balance between life and death, should play as a Vampire. This option isn't available in every version of the game. Gamers have to download the Dawnguard expansion and play for a number of levels before having the option of being infected.
To build a Vampire class character, start with points in spellcasting schools like Destruction, Alteration, and Conjuration along with skills like Sneak and One-Handed weapons. Use professions like Alchemy and Blacksmithing to craft unique accessories and weapons.
3 Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) - Assassin
The Scorpio is one of the signs of the zodiac that expresses itself through physical activity, but at the same time, they're often secretive and mistrustful. That pairs well with the Assassin class, which can be anything from a warrior for hire to a more discreet and refined character that uses poisons and stealth as opposed to blades or arrows.
The build of an Assassin is similar to that of a Thief, but with more emphasis on Stealth and one-handed weapons. Another option is to give a character a high proficiency on ranged weapons like bows or slings, turning them into a sniper.
2 Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) - Archer
Archey is an obvious connection to the sign of Sagittarius since the sign is famous for its bow iconography. Any race can handle a bow decently enough in Skyrim, but there's a heavy emphasis put on Wood Elves and the Thalmor, two eleven races that have extra proficiency with this deadly ranged weapon.
Both of these races appreciate the gifts of the natural world, but Wood Elves aren't as refined as their elven counterparts, and Wood Elf archers also do well as a Ranger or Bandit multiclass. Thalmor Archers would do well as Guards or Heros, so there's something here for every kind of Sagittarius.
1 Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) - Ebony Warrior
Silent and tranquil, the Ebony Warrior is an impressive sight. Even if a player is about to die at their hand, they feel lucky to have lived long enough to encounter one. The Capricorn has some similar traits. People born under this winter sign command respect and are often strong leaders but never exhibitionists. The Ebony Warrior appears in much the same way, and although it takes some patience with leveling and refining of the Blacksmithing skill, it's the perfect class for the perfectionist Capricorn.
