Hearts are some of the most useful resources in Sky: Children of the Light and, fortunately, there are a few ways to get them. Some of them will require you to interact with real players, so it would be wise to cooperate with other users or invite your friends to play this game together. Here is a list of all the ways to get Hearts in Sky: Children of the Light:

Buying them from Spirits - on your journey, you will encounter many different Spirits who can sell you Hearts. You will need to give any of them three Candles, and the item is yours. However, this is not the best option, as each Spirit has only one heart.
Buying them from Season Guides - while the current season is active, you can buy a Season Heart from a Season Guide using three Season Candles. If you don’t use this Season Heart, then at the end of the season, it will convert into a regular Heart.
Receiving them from your friends - one of your Friends can convert three Candles into a Heart and offer it to you. Of course, you can do the same thing for your comrades and trade Hearts with each other.
Gifts of Light from the Friends Constellation - your friends can send you Gifts of Light once a day. Collecting 60 Gifts of Light will reward you with a Heart. So, try to make as many friends as possible so that you can send Gifts of Light to each other.
Earning likes for your messages - In this game, you can send messages to other players. If one of the messages you leave through Message Shrines or Message Boats gets enough likes, you will receive a Heart. The same thing works for your Shared Spaces and Shared Memories.
