Precision Drilling Bits are exotic materials in Skull and Bones that are used in end-game crafting. As is the case with the game's other exotic materials, the sources for Precision Drilling Bits are quite limited, and fans that need them have three options that they can pursue. This guide is here to provide details on those options, and it will help players obtain Precision Drilling Bits in Skull and Bones.

While this guide will detail a method that solo players can use to obtain Precision Drilling Bits, the task is much easier in a group. That may not be an option for everyone that is pursuing this exotic material in Skull and Bones , though, and hopefully they will find success with the first approach that is outlined below.

Sink the Ghost Ship

Solo players who are attempting to earn Precision Drilling Bits are advised to sink Maangodin, a Level 8 Elite that can spawn in several locations at night. While fans can use rumors to track down the spectral vessel at its various locations, here is a strategy that makes finding Maangodin quite easy:

  1. Travel to the Oubliette outpost (marked on the map that is above) at night.
  2. Sail approximately 1,000 meters east of the outpost and look for a spectral ship.
  3. If the ship is not present, quit to the main menu and reenter the game.
  4. Repeat Step 3 until Maangodin appears.

Once a player has found the ghost-like ship, they should focus on sinking it. While this can be a lengthy fight, fans should be able to dispatch Maangodin solo, provided that they have a good ship in Skull and Bones, and they will receive a handful of Precision Drilling Bits when the job is done.

Plunder East Indies Military Bases

Players can earn Precision Drilling Bits by successfully plundering one of the five Military Bases that are marked on the maps above. This can prove to be quite difficult, though, as the bases are all Level 10+. Indeed, fans will face significant resistance at those locations, and they should definitely plan to call for help in Skull and Bones before they attack them.

Sink the Opwelling

The Opwelling is a Level 12 Elite Warship that will occasionally pass across the map, and players can earn some Precision Drilling Bits by sinking it. Once again, fans are strongly advised to enlist the help of a friend in Skull and Bones if they plan to pursue this option, and the Opwelling will appear on the map as a blue icon when it is available.
