How to Find Hemp in Skull and Bones
Hemp is a plant fiber that is crucial in the production of many ship and furniture blueprints, such as the Sloop ship in Skull and Bones that is heavily sought after in the early periods of the game. The plant is in great supply, provided you are aware of which parts of the game's map to take your crew and ship to.
In order to find Hemp, you will need to venture to the western side of the map. The plant is most frequently found in the areas surrounding the capital settlement of Jiwe and is identifiable by its light brown icon resembling a cannabis leaf.
How to Harvest Hemp in Skull and Bones
Ubisoft have kept the process of harvesting raw goods relatively simple and, thankfully, consistent, regardless of the fiber, wood, or metal you are foraging. This remains very much the same when it comes to Hemp, provided you have upgraded your tools to a sufficient level.
To harvest Hemp, you will need to approach a plant from your ship and press the button indicated on the screen to begin the harvesting mini-game. The game is almost identical to the one you complete when harvesting Acacia, and merely requires that you press the indicated button when the cursor reaches the green and yellow zones. The green zone will grant you additional materials as a collection bonus, while missing the zones altogether will end the game altogether.
How to get Fine Hemp in Skull and Bones
As is the case with most high-quality goods in Skull and Bones, you'll find Fine Hemp in either vendors or settlements you can plunder, or you can have it crafted at a Refinery if you have the necessary raw materials to make it. All you need to do is locate a Refinery vendor, hand over the required materials, and wait the allocated time before picking up the enhanced goods.
Refineries can be found in most major settlements where that have specialist vendors, such as shipwrights and blacksmiths, with the most notable and easiest to access being the merchant in Sainte-Anne. Given this is the first major settlement in the game, you should be able to use Skull and Bones' fast travel mechanics to transport you and your crew to Sainte-Anne if you're not there already. To acquire Fine Hemp from a Refinery, you will need to provide them with 5 Hemp for each Fine Hemp you want to add to your inventory.
