Skull and Bones, the long-in-development title by Ubisoft, finally hit the shelves just a few weeks ago. Now that it's available, many fans are dipping their toes into the ocean of content that the pirate game has to offer, including a plethora of ships.

Skull and Bones offers ten ships that can be acquired by the player. However, acquiring them requires a combination of patience, skill, and exploration. The guide below details everything you need to know about each of these ships, from their class to unique skills, and provides details on how to acquire them.

Dhow

The Dhow is the one and only Extra Small-sized ship, and is given to the player for free in the beginning hours of the game. It's a base level 1 ship that doesn't have any weapon slots or the option to place any furniture. Considering its limitations, you should be eager to replace this ship with a better one at your earliest opportunity.

Even with all its disadvantages, there is one saving grace: it can navigate small passageways that many other ships can't. It also comes equipped with the Hunter Perk, allowing you to preserve wildlife materials from hunting.

Rammer, The Bedar

The Bedar is a base level 1 small-sized ship that excels in head-to-head combat, thanks to its accompanying perk, the Lancer. This perk allows the Rammer to specialize in precisely what you would expect, given its name. Bonuses granted by the Lancer perk include:

  • A 15% increase in damage done via ramming.
  • A 50% reduction in the slowing effects applied by torn sails.
  • Applies Flooded effect to rammed enemy ships.

You can further enhance the Bedar's stats by adding weapons, furniture, and armor.

The blueprint for the Bedar can be obtained in two ways. The first method is to purchase it from the Shipwright in Sainte Anne for 660 Silver. The second method is by earning it as a reward for completing the "A Seaworthy Ship" quest in Sainte Anne. To craft the Rammer, you will need the following resources:

Defender, The Hulk

The Hulk is a base level 2 small-sized ship designed to serve as the tank in your arsenal. It can endure a boatload of punishment before going down. It comes equipped with the Ironclad Perk, providing substantial buffs to the ship:

  • Increases Brace Strength by 250%.

  • Restores Severe Damage by 0.5% per second.
  • Restores Hull Health by 0.5% per second.
  • Restores Hull Health of any ally vessel within a 100-meter range of a repaired target by 2%.
  • Restores 60% more of a ship's hull health when utilizing a repair weapon on a friendly vessel.

You can obtain the Sentinel's blueprint in two ways. The first is by completing the "Dressed to Kill" quest received from the blacksmith in Sainte Anne. Alternatively, you can purchase it from Lanitra Outpost, which is situated on the Angaya Coast. You will need the following resources to craft the Sentinel:

  • Bronze Ingot x6
  • Iroko Plank x6
  • Fine Jute x12

Firebrand, the Barge

The Firebrand ship blueprint can be purchased from a merchant in Kaa Mangrove Outpost, located in the Coast of Africa Region. It will cost you 4,950 Silver, and you need to be at Infamy Rank Buccaneer before you can make the purchase. To craft the Firebrand, you will require the following resources:

Blaster, The Sloop

  • Explosive hits have a 70% chance of setting off an explosion with a 125-meter blast radius, which deals 1000 damage. The damage is increased by 100% if the enemy vessel is suffering from the Ablaze effect.
  • Increases damage to structures by 50%.
  • Increases weapon damage radius by 12%.

You can only purchase the Bombardier blueprint once you have reached the rank of Brigand in Infamy. Head to Telok Penjarah Pirate Den in the East Indies region and purchase the blueprint from the Merchant there for 5,280 Silver. Crafting the Bombardier may pose a bit of a challenge due to its high resource requirements, which are:

Vanguard, The Snow

  • Increases damage from ramming by 45%.
  • Duration of Torn Sails effect is reduced by 80%.
  • Flooded effect applied to an enemy ship upon ramming.

You can buy the blueprint for the Hullbreaker from the Ruined Lighthouse in the East Indies area. It requires you to have the Infamy rank of Cutthroat and will cost you 15,840 Silver. Crafting it will also punish your inventory like no other, as it requires the following resources:

  • Greenheart x13
  • Magnetite Ingot x12

Pyromaniac, the Sambuk

Last but not least, the final ship in Skull and Bones is the Pyromaniac, the Sambuk. It's a base level 5 medium-sized ship that specializes in dealing a ridiculous amount of damage to enemies in a short amount of time. It comes with the unique Scorched Perk, which has the following effects:

  • Deals 5000 Burning damage when the Ablaze effect is applied to an enemy ship. This effect will also be applied to all enemies within a radius of 150m.
  • Grants a 50% damage buff to Ablaze-affected ships.

The blueprint for the Pyromaniac is the most difficult to obtain in the game, as it doesn't require Silver. Instead, you will need 5000 Pieces of Eight — a resource that can only be obtained in the endgame. Players will have to complete the Helm missions and take over outposts.
