Skater XL fans have cause for excitement, as Easy Day Studios just unveiled a brand new map for the game. This map can be accessed by searching in the Mod Browser, and is a full adaptation of the real world Embarcadero Park. The reveal trailer is fairly simple, showing various skaters doing tricks in and around the park, likely attempting to let the map speak for itself.

For those that are unfamiliar, Embarcadero Park is a real life location in San Francisco. It is frequently listed as one of the best places to skate, so it makes sense that Easy Day Studios would want to bring the area in as a map for Skater XL. While there are plenty that are excited for the new map, there are also a lot of players that find the addition somewhat lackluster.

In the comments section of the video, some fans express that although Embarcadero Park is a great place to skate in real life, they feel it doesn't translate well into Skater XL. The main reason given for this stance is that the park feels empty and devoid of life, a necessary evil for a Skate game that lacks any form of multiplayer.

Outside of these complaints, other simply bring up things they want to see added to the game or share their desire for Skate 4. Rather than take anyone's word for it, Skater XL players should head to the Mod Browser and try the map for themselves. It is certainly impressive that this famous park was able to be recreated within the game at such an accurate level.

Skater XL is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
