It's also worth noting that, for the sake of simplicity, only regular salaried positions are considered. The myriad side gigs Sims can take part in, though potentially profitable, aren't included. So, roll up those sleeves and get to work!

10 Information Overlord – Hacker Career (The Sims)

Information-Overlord The Sims

In the first entry, maintaining a job in The Sims is a difficult endeavor. Specific days of the week don't exist, nor do vacation or sick time. Except for a day here or there, Sims are essentially working all the time. Thus, reaching Level 10 of a particular career track tends to be highly rewarding.

The highest salaried position in the original Sims, all expansions included, is the Information Overlord. It's the pinnacle of the Hacker career and nets the player $1,550/day. Furthermore, the position only requires eight friends, which is doable considering how hard it is to maintain friendships in the first game.

9 Superstar/Celebrity Activist – Entertainment & Music Careers (The Sims)

The Sims Superstar

Players are never limited to humdrum occupations for their Sims. In the original title, Sims can showcase their creative skills in various ways. One such option is the Entertainment career, the peak of which is the Superstar position. Sims can expect to earn $1,400/day for being such a notable somebody.

Alternatively, the Music career offers a similar promise of riches. Players who reach Level 10 in that job become Celebrity Activists. Just like the Superstar, a Celebrity Activist will take home $1,400/day. Both occupations take a lot of work, so the road to success will be a bumpy one.

8 Icon – Show Business Career (The Sims 2)

The Sims Show Business

It probably doesn't come as a surprise that some of the highest-paying careers in the series are a result of fame. In The Sims 2, players are given a seven-day workweek, making it easier to calculate one's weekly earnings in a more realistic manner.

One of the best, the Show Business career, requires a college education. Becoming an Icon, of course, also requires the player to reach the pinnacle of their occupation. Doing so will net $5,022/day for only three days of work! That translates to $15,066/week, which isn't too shabby.

7 Head Of SCIA – Intelligence Career (The Sims 2)

The Sims 2, along with all its expansions, provides even more career options compared to its predecessor. A close runner-up to the Icon position is the Intelligence career, one of the more colorful occupations a Sim can strive for. Curiously, unlike the previous job, the Intelligence career doesn't require a college degree to get started.

At Level 10, Sims will become the Head of SCIA. Financially, this will bring home $3,750/day for four days per week. As a result, players are looking at $15,000/week.

6 Phase 10 Physicist/Beam Commander – Astronomer Career (The Sims 3)

The Sims 3 Astronomer Career

The realm of science can be quite a rewarding endeavor in The Sims 3. If your Sim possesses the right technological know-how, the Astronomer career is a good fit. No matter which of the two branches are chosen, the pay rates for the Level 10 slots remain the same. Attaining the rank of a Phase 10 Physicist or Beam Commander results in a pretty hefty payday.

Both of these occupations net $1,000/hr. for only three hours of work. That translates into $3,000/day and, subsequently, $15,000/week for working Mon.-Fri. Not a bad gig, to be sure.

5 World Renowned Surgeon – Medicine Career (The Sims 3)

Not to be outdone, the Medicine career in The Sims 3 is also quite lucrative. Sims well-versed in the Logic skill can make some serious simoleons along the Medicine track. Once again, those who manage to reach Level 10 will reap the maximum reward.

Becoming a World Renowned Surgeon not only sounds cool but offers significant financial stability as well. For five hours of work, Sims can expect to make $480/hr. When working four days per week, this number translates into an income of $9,600/week.

4 Sim-In-Black/Grand Marshal – Military Career (The Sims 4)

The Military career track is a series staple and typically represents a solid choice when it comes to selecting a job. In The Sims 4: StrangerVille, the Military career can make the player good money once their Sim has reached the end of the line.

Regardless of branch, Sims who become a Sim-In-Black or Grand Marshal can both make $3,376/day. Working five days a week, a Sim will steadily make $16,880/week. It's not a bad proposition, assuming a Sim has what it takes!

3 Personal Re-Imager – Style Influencer Career (The Sims 4)

Taking its cue from more modern examples, The Sims 4 allows players to have their Sims become influencers. Sims can embark upon influential careers in the world of fashion through social media and their own creativity.

The Personal Re-Imager, part of the Stylist branch, carries with it a hefty chunk of change. At $3,000/day working five days per week, a Sim can pull down $15,000/week. Just make sure these Sims are creative enough and active on social media.

2 Interstellar Smuggler – Astronaut Career (The Sims 4)

Sims 4 Interstellar Smuggler

Though some may think it impossible, Sims can actually become spacefaring smugglers in The Sims 4. When the vastness of space is at one's fingertips, why stop at just exploration? Best of all, there's some serious money to be made in this particular field of work.

The Interstellar Smuggler is the Level 10 position in the similarly-named branch of the Astronaut career. Sims who have what it takes can earn $3,717/day while only working four days per week. Weekly income stands at $14,868.

1 PhD Of Pollen – Gardener Career (The Sims 4)

Sims 4 Gardener

Gardening has been a familiar feature in practically every Sims game. In The Sims 4, players can take their skills to the next level and earn some nice income to boot. It will take a lot of dedication, but becoming the best in your field is never easy. Sims who attain the position of PhD of Pollen can look forward to a profitable future.

At $2,940/day working five days a week, Sims can make a healthy $14,700/week. Indulging in one's passion while also raking in the big bucks is never a bad thing.
