The Sims 4 is one of the most popular simulation games out there, and each expansion pack keeps coming up with new ways how to entertain the players and keep them engaged. One of the fun ways how to make the game even more interesting is to try out various scenarios.
In a Sims 4 scenario, the player gets a backstory for their Sims and a list of requirements they should fulfill. Even though the end result should be the same, they have the freedom to decide how they will get to the finish, which makes for a lot of creative solutions.
6 How Do Scenarios Work Exactly?
The exact nature of each scenario differs based on which area of the game it focuses on (such as romance, finance, and others). However, what doesn't change is that the player gets a starting situation and also a finishing one, the goal they should work toward.
How they will achieve it is up to them, though. Each player can choose a different approach. It's therefore interesting to explore various ways in which each scenario can be fulfilled.
5 The Important Rules
One of the important rules the player should remember is that they can't use an already established household for the scenarios. So instead of playing with their family, they have to create new Sims or find some in the Gallery.
That's the most important rule to follow. It's not forbidden to use cheats when fulfilling a scenario but, of course, if the player wants to have a richer experience, they should stay clear of cheats and mods that will make things much easier for them.
4 Starting A Scenario
Scenarios haven't always been available in The Sims 4. To be able to start one, the game has to be updated to patch 120. If the player has the required version, they can easily start a new scenario by clicking on New Game and then New Scenario. They will see the list of requirements and expected outcomes which helps them to decide whether they want to take on this particular scenario or not. Of course, even once the player starts playing a certain scenario, they can always switch to a different household and return to the other scenario later if they want to take a break from it for a while.
It's also possible to play multiple scenarios at once and switch between households. However, some of the scenarios have a deadline, which is important to remember if the player doesn't want to miss it and to fail to finish the scenario as a result. As such, the scenarios can be divided into two main categories - permanent and limited-time ones.
3 The Permanent And Limited-Time Scenarios
The Sims 4 offers multiple scenarios, so there's no reason not to try all of them out. The two permanent scenarios are Making Money and Finding Love After A Breakup.
The limited-time scenarios change depending on the date so if the player wants to participate in them, they have to watch which limited-time scenario is currently available in the menu and finish them before the set date.
2 The Money Making Scenario
The money-making scenario speaks for itself. Initially, the Sim has no money and they have to earn 1 million Simoleons before they die. It helps to choose the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration when creating a Sim for this challenge since this scenario and the aspiration coincide. Even though it's possible to quickly complete this scenario by using money cheats, it'll be much more interesting to make Sims actually earn the money.
To complete the scenario, it helps to buy an already arranged property and immediately after getting rid of all their money! They should also get a high-paying job as soon as possible, work as a scientist, for example, or in law or the military. In their free time, the players can help their Sims to earn more money by engaging in creative activities (such as painting or writing) that can lead to additional income. Once the player finishes this scenario, they will get 5,000 Satisfaction Points as a reward.
1 The Finding Love After A Breakup Scenario
For players who enjoy focusing on Sim's relationship rather than making money, this scenario is perfect. In the scenario, two Sims used to be together but broke up and still live in the same household. The main goal of the scenario is to find love for one of the Sims after their breakup. There are three potential outcomes. In one of them, the Sim is a soulmate with someone they've broken up with. In the second one, they're best friends with their ex. And in the final outcome, the Sim is a soulmate with someone they've never broken up with.
Of all the three outcomes, the first one is the hardest to achieve because the Sims will hate each other after their breakup and it will be difficult to get them to date again, let alone become soulmates. Just like with the Money Making Scenario, the reward for finishing this one is also 5,000 Satisfaction Points.
