The Sims 4 boasts over 50 additional packs to spice up simmer's gameplay. A key part of the game is forming relationships with Sims, whether it's making enemies with their neighbors, or falling in love with the Sim next door; however, with The Sims 4 now being over nine years old, socializing may be a little repetitive for long-term players.

Expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits offer new content, including social interactions and activities for Sims. From bonding over a group yoga session to taking a date to dinner, there are plenty of options for every type of player with these packs.

10 Parenthood

Parenthood was the first family-focused pack for The Sims 4 and gave child and teenage Sim's behavior a real impact. The new parenting skill brought with it multiple new interactions that give child-parent relationships in the game a more realistic touch.

Social interactions have a good or bad influence on young Sim's character trait development; a Sim may grow up with the good manners trait if they learn to say please and thanks as a toddler and set the table as a teenager, or bad conflict resolution if they argue or fight with other Sims.

9 Get Together

Get Together brought with it a multitude of exciting social features, the main one being clubs. Clubs brought many possibilities to the game, allowing players to set rules for members and hold club gatherings, winning points that can be redeemed for club perks when club actions are performed.

The European-inspired world of Windenburg has an impressive 27 lots, 13 of them being community lots. Get Together brought with it three new lot types; ancient ruins, chalet gardens, and island bluffs, which can act as unique club hangouts and look beautiful during gameplay.

8 High School Years

High School Years provided players with the opportunity to go to school with their Sims, opening up a new world of social interactions among classmates. Copperdale, the new world, was built for teenage adventures. A fairground reminiscent of teen rom-coms is the perfect backdrop for dates, or maybe even a promposal.

ThrifTea, a new lot combining a bubble tea shop with a thrift store, was added as the ultimate teen hangout, meaning Sims can shop around, have a drink with friends, and create outfits to sell on Trendi, the game's answer to Depop. Social Bunny, a new phone app, was also introduced in this pack, allowing Sims to post and send messages from the comfort of their own homes: no loading screens needed.

7 Growing Together

Growing together heavily focused on family relationships; new social compatibility and family dynamic features have a real impact on relationship gain, adding challenge to an area that previously felt quite easy.

The pack followed a free update which included infants, a new life stage between babies and toddlers, with more interactions and activities for infants being introduced in the pack. The new world of San Sequoia is perfectly set up for starting a family, featuring a rec center, alongside splash pads located throughout the world, giving Sims plenty to do on a family day trip.

6 Spa Day

Since its 2021 refresh, Spa Day has proved itself to be a great game pack. Sims can head to a spa to get a manicure or pedicure, enjoy a relaxing meditation session, join a group yoga class, or receive a deep tissue massage. Whilst Sims can do all of these things alone, they make for great social activities with a group of friends or a date.

Saunas were also introduced with this pack, adding a new WooHoo spot, death type, and of course providing Sims with a new place to chat.

5 Discover University

Discover University offers Sims the chance to study at the contemporary, science-led Foxbury Institute, or traditional, art-centered Britechester University. Both campuses have plenty to do at the student commons and shared housing, from group study sessions, to playing ping pong (or perhaps juice pong if Sims are in the party spirit).

Another part of university life is school organizations; whether a Sim wants to join the art or debate club or even the secret society, there are plenty of opportunities to make friends on campus.

4 City Living

City Living's world, San Myshuno, has a lot to offer, particularly for players looking to live out a young adult Sims fast-paced lifestyle. Karaoke was a new activity included with this pack, making for a fun night out with friends at the new karaoke bars.

One feature added in City Living was festivals, which take place every few days, and each has different themed activities for Sims to take part in. Many players use the Romance Festival for a date location, or the Humor and Hijinks Festival for some light-hearted fun with friends.

3 Dine Out

Two Sims on a date at a fancy restaurant sharing a secret

Dine Out added a new type of business for Sims to own and run: restaurants. Players can create endless unique dining venues, with highly customizable menus and uniforms to add to their chosen theme.

It was poorly received upon release due to game-breaking bugs, however multiple patches later, and the pack is now playable. Sims can take their partner to a romantic restaurant for a date, or bring their friends to a beachfront café for brunch, talking over a meal or some drinks.

2 Get Famous

Get Famous allows Sims to become celebrities, catering to players who love the high life. Sims can gain fame in multiple ways; interacting with fans and paparazzi or mingling with other celebrities is one of these ways. Reputation was also added with this pack, giving more weight to social interactions, as positive and negative behaviors influence how a Sim is perceived by others.

Del Sol Valley, the LA-inspired world added with Get Famous, was perfectly constructed for celebrity life. Two new lounges, Studio PBP and Orchid A Go Go, are the perfect backdrops to host the Starlight accolades award ceremony and meet-and-greets.

1 Seasons

Seasons saw the introduction of the calendar (since included in the base game), displaying Sim's birthdays, work and school schedules, and the newly added weather and seasons. Holidays, including Winterfest, including Winterfest, Love Day, and many more, also appear on the calendar and require Sims to complete traditions that often focus on interacting with other Sims. Surprise holidays like Talk Like A Pirate Day and Prank Day offer fun new ways of socializing, encouraging players to use new or less common social interactions.

Other activities like snowball or water balloon fights and skating give Sims even more things to do with their friends or family.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
