The Sims 4 is one of the first games in the series to have a gallery that holds houses and families in it. The addition of game packs gives players the ability to make some very unique houses. Players can find houses that fit practically any theme they desire (even that of a certain occult), allowing them to create a unique story that fits their family.

When it comes to the houses already found in the game, players are sure to find a house in the gallery that fits their style a whole lot better. While it is practically always a good bit of fun to build an opulent mansion, it is the truly unique houses that grab the most attention.

10 The Humble Abode

The outside view of the house called The Humble Abode

The Humble Abode was made by ElderJymm on the gallery and puts items from the Journey to Batuu expansion to use. The outside also takes the shape of Darth Vader's helmet. This home fits well in Oasis Springs, while also looking like it could fit on Tatooine.

It has a first floor as well as a basement area. It only has one bedroom and one bathroom, making it perfect for any hermit trying to live on their own.

9 Fairy Tale Gnome Cottage

The main front area of the home

The Fairy Tale Gnome Cottage looks like it could have came straight out of a storybook. It was created by RethaSim on the gallery. It takes advantage of the resizing ability in the game, with large mushrooms and gnomes taking up the front yard of the house.

The house looks like it could fit a spellcaster family, having a mythical look to it. Players will finally be able to have their Sim live in a magical forest cottage.

8 Nightengale (Boat/Yacht)

A home in the shape of a boat near the river

The Nightengale allows players' Sims to live on a boat again. JOL1990YT created this lot and it allows players to essentially have a houseboat in The Sims 4.  The lot has two bedrooms starting off, meaning a family could live here.

The top part of the boat has the kitchen where the pilot would be. Putting the lot near a source of water makes the most sense, as it could look like the boat is docked.

7 Amelia Earhart's Crash

A crashed plane on one of the islands of Sulani

Ever wonder what happened to Amelia Earhart? With this house, players can pretend to have the answer! The lot was created by hiphiprenee and uses the plane model from Strangerville to make a crashed plane.

The house works best if it is used in the Sulani neighborhood. With the lot trait 'off-the-grid' introduced in Island Living, players are able to truly pretend that their Sim has crash-landed in the island community.

6 The Bear Cave

The inside view of the Bear Cave

The Bear Cave is exactly what it sounds like — a cave for a Sim to live in. It was created by Brennachan and offers a hidden cave that a family can live inside of. Sims wearing a Bear costume will fit in perfectly with this lot.

There is not a lot of room for children, so it is best for one, or perhaps two Sims at most to live inside of this cave. With this lot, Sims are sure not to be found or messed with.

5 Falling Water

The front view of Falling Water with its waterfall

This house is a replica of Frank Lloyd Wright's house, Falling Water. It was created by gonzalosf9616 and lets players move their family into this iconic house. It even has the waterfall the real house has, making it even more impressive.

Players can see the offices, the many bedrooms, and the balcony that goes around the house. Any fan of Wright's work would enjoy having this house in one of their neighborhoods.

4 Old Chinese Town

A few of the homes in the Chinese town

The Old Chinese Town looks like an actual town located over a waterfall. It was created by angiedoessims and adds a couple of different homes for a few families to live in. This lot is one of the most unique, as multiple families could move into this lot.

It also takes the look of a Chinese village and puts it into the player's neighborhood. The waterfall is also aesthetically pleasing, practically guaranteeing players will want this lot in one of their neighborhoods.

3 Autumnal Treehouse

A few of the different rooms up and down the tree

This house allows players to move their family into a treehouse. It was created by TheSimStream and has stairs that go up and down the trunk of the tree. Each room goes higher up the trunk than the last.

The creator of the lot mentions that it is better to be used in the Glimmerbrook neighborhood. It also looks like the house a Spellcaster would use, making it perfect for any magical family to live in.

2 Old Cottage

The front of the old cottage

The Old Cottage looks like a cozy little building for a Sim to live in. It was created by alfiefl and it looks like an older Sim would fit perfectly with this household. It is also aesthetically pleasing to look at, with vines going up and down the house. There are also numerous outdoor decorations, making it a perfect home for a family to live at.

1 Nookstone Starter Cabin

The front view of the Nookstone Starter Cabin

Fans of The Sims and Animal Crossing will enjoy having this cabin in their neighborhood. BettyBackwoods99 is the creator of the house, and it's perfect for a single Sim to live in. A nice touch is the truck in the driveway, making it look like a lived-in cabin.

It also looks very similar to a house that could be found in Animal Crossing. With the strong colors, it is easy to see how it can be inspired by the game.
