The Growing Together Sims 4 expansion pack has added a bunch of family-style gameplay. This pack focuses particularly on the early life stages of a Sim. The free infants update was only released a couple of days before Growing Together so, naturally, the Sims team gave this life stage extra attention, but children were also in the spotlight.

One of the gameplay functions that was added to The Sims 4 that impacted children was the addition of loose teeth and the Tooth Fairy. This guide will focus on this addition in particular and let players know everything worth finding out about this feature.

How To Deal With A Loose Tooth

When a Sim is still a child, they can randomly get a loose tooth; a notification will appear in the top right corner of the screen when this happens. There are three ways to deal with a loose tooth in the Sims 4: the Sim can pull it out, they can wiggle it, or they can ignore it.

A player can order a Sim to pull out their tooth by selecting the Sim and choosing the Pull Out Loose Tooth interaction. Pulling it out is the quickest way to deal with the tooth, but the Sim might experience some discomfort afterward and receive a negative Moodlet.

Alternatively, they can wiggle the tooth and get it to fall out faster. To wiggle it, players can either select the Sim and choose the Wiggle Loose Tooth interaction or select any mirror and have them do it while looking at it.

The tooth can also be ignored, and it will eventually fall out. If the Sim brushes their teeth, there is an increased chance of it happening.

How To Meet The Tooth Fairy

Once the Sim has lost a tooth, they can move on to the next step of the process: the Tooth Fairy. If the Sim interacts with their bed, they will have an option that says Place Tooth Under Pillow. The Tooth Fairy will come overnight, but unfortunately, it is not possible to meet this entity in The Sims 4.

As a reward for hiding a tooth under their pillow, in the morning they will receive between 50 and 100 Simoleons from the Tooth Fairy as well as some posters or stickers and a Tooth Fairy Certificate. These are adorable and exclusive decorations that will certainly look perfect in a child's room.

The Sims 4 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
