Rules
Before players jump into this challenge, it is important to understand the rules. First, all heirs to the Barbie legacy must be female and named Barbie. Players may choose the names of any other non-heir children. Each Barbie must complete the aspiration and maximize the skills assigned to their generation. Some generations may ask players to equip their Barbie with a certain trait or give specific rules about her accomplishments. Money cheats are allowed but not recommended, as this is supposed to be a challenge for players. There are plenty of other ways to make money without resorting to cheats.

Generation One - Housewife Barbie
For the first generation, players should create a Barbie who aspires to find a husband to raise children with. Housewife Barbie wants a simple life for herself, but she wants more for her children and hopes to set them up for success in every way. She must have the Family-Oriented trait, which will help her relationships with her three children. Each child must complete at least one child aspiration before aging up. For example, the multi-skill aspirations from Growing Together may be intriguing. All children must also have A grades in school.
Finish the Successful Lineage aspiration to complete the Housewife Barbie generation. This will reward Barbie for her children's accomplishments in school and their future careers. She must also maximize her parenting and cooking skills before passing her legacy to her daughter.
Generation Two - Business Barbie
While her mother may have enjoyed living a traditional life, staying home to cook and clean for her family, this Barbie desires something much more. With a good support system and perfect grades, Barbie excels in the Business career as an Investor. She hopes to make enough money to keep her family wealthy for generations to come.
How To Complete The Sims 4 Crystal Legacy Challenge
This twist on the classic Legacy Challenge asks Sims 4 players to create generations inspired by crystals.
She should complete the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration, a name that exudes Barbie energy. As for her skill requirements, she must strive to reach level 10 in the logic and charisma skills to help her in her career. Leveling up in Business Barbie's career and skills will be much easier with the aid of the Overachiever and Ambitious traits.
Generation Three - Pet Vet Barbie
With the world at their fingertips, this Barbie pours herself into her love for animals. Barbie must have either the Cat Lover or Dog Lover trait for this generation. She pursues her dream career as a veterinarian and opens her own vet clinic. She must max her veterinarian skill, create the perfect calming environment, and be friendly to her clients for her business to reach five stars. The pet training skill might also come in handy as well.
Pet Vet Barbie must have at least three pets of her own and maintain a good relationship with them. There are plenty of beloved animals in The Sims 4, so the options for Barbie's pets are endless. For this generation, have Pet Vet Barbie complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration.
Generation Four - Sea Pearl Barbie
After being surrounded by household pets in their childhood, this next Barbie shares a love of animals but desires to explore a different area of the animal kingdom: sea life. Move Sea Pearl Barbie to Sulani from the Island Living expansion and aid her in completing the Beach Life aspiration.
With the Child of the Ocean trait, this Barbie is destined to learn the secrets of how to become a mermaid. She should take up a job as a Conservationist in the marine biology branch. Mastering both logic and fitness skills will benefit Sea Pearl Barbie in her island quests.

A twist on the Sims legacy challenge, the Chromatic Legacy Challenge hosts 15 generations, each with specific milestones.
After graduating, they aspire to get promoted to the top of the Athlete career. Simultaneously, she should be trying to complete the Bodybuilder aspiration. This shouldn't be a problem for Gymnastics Barbie, considering that she has the Active trait. Players with the Get Famous expansion can help Barbie achieve her dreams of becoming a famous athlete.
Generation Six - Best-Seller Barbie
With female ancestors who are as brave, bold, and beautiful as the Barbies, the Creative Best-Seller Barbie is inspired to write a best-selling novel to record the stories of the generations thus far. In her quest to become the master of the Author career, Best-Seller Barbie must complete the Bestselling Author aspiration and maximize her writing skill.
Unfortunately, her athletic mother passes away before Best-Seller Barbie can finish telling her story. There is a way, however, to bring a Sim back from the dead by writing the Book of Life and binding it to the deceased Sim. This crafter should use this to her advantage to bring her mother back to life.
Generation Seven - Movie Star Barbie
Proud of her bestselling mother, Movie Star Barbie desires her stories to reach theaters around the world. This Barbie has the High Maintenance trait, so she may be a little dramatic, but she is perfect for the active Acting career and Master Actress aspiration from Get Famous.
That being said, players must follow Barbie to work to build her acting skills and help her reach at least the Proper Celebrity status. Start with small gigs like commercials and slowly work towards landing roles in major motion pictures. According to the rules, Movie Star Barbie must have a secret affair with a coworker on set. This could lead to some very dramatic circumstances, but Barbie is unbothered and in her prime.
Generation Eight - Rockstar Barbie
As the daughter of a wildly successful actress, this next Barbie was born into a life of fame and fortune. At a young age, she acquired the Music Lover trait and aspired to be just as famous or possibly more famous than her mother. Although many may underestimate her as a spoiled nepotism baby, Rockstar Barbie is determined to prove everyone wrong by completing the World Famous Celebrity aspiration for her career as a musician.
How To Complete The Sims 4 Aesthetic Legacy Challenge
A variation on the Legacy Challenge, the Aesthetic Legacy Challenge focuses on different fashion and lifestyle choices in each generation.
To complete this generation of the challenge, players should have their Barbie max out her skills in singing and at least two instruments. There are a few instruments to choose from, including the guitar, violin, piano, or pipe organ. Place them in the Entertainer career and guide them all the way through level 10.
Generation Nine - Barbie For President
The Barbie name is well-established in the private and public eye. This puts Barbie in a perfect position to take the plunge into the political world. Barbie for president! It's time for Barbie world domination. The City Living expansion opens up the Politician position in The Sims 4, and Barbie must reach the National Leader level at the top of her career.
Perfect the charisma skill to persuade voters in Barbie's campaign and excel in her career. The Self-Assured trait will give Barbie the confidence she needs to succeed. With her sizable income, President Barbie wants to complete the Mansion Baronaspiration and build the ultimate dream house.
Generation Ten - Barbie: In Space!
She has conquered the world. Now, it's time for her next adventure. Barbie wants to leave her family's mark in space. Since she has the funds from previous generations, she has no problem purchasing the wildly expensive rocket and practicing her logic and rocket science skills on it. She wants to become the ultimate nerd by finishing the Nerd Brain aspiration. Fortunately, Barbie has the Genius trait to help her out.
After building the rocket, Barbie can travel to Sixam, a hidden world in The Sims 4 that is vibrant and alien-themed. Have her bring a souvenir home, whether it's a shiny new rock or a bubbling blue baby alien. Players can even build a house for Barbie to stay in on the 20 x 20 lot in Sixam.
