However, fans of The Sims may still be waiting for Career Track opportunities that haven't been included in the series' expansive roster of career options. After all, there are still pursuits in the real world that have yet to find a counterpart in The Sims 4. Among today's existing careers and professions, which ones are most worthy of appearing in The Sims 4?

7 Archaeologist

Search For Mysterious Artifacts

Archaeologist

Age Bracket

Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Fossil Brusher, Ancient Civilization Enthusiast

With major Sims expansions and updates including both the extraterrestrial and the supernatural, it’s surprising that the franchise has yet to include parodies of an Ancient Simvilization that Sims may be able to discover. In turn, this is an Easter egg that an Archaeologist Career Track may be able to present to players with a knack for ancient civilizations.

On top of this Career Track potentially enticing Indiana Jones hopefuls, the game also has a precedent for this Career with Archaeology being a skill in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure. This addition may come with enhanced mechanics, such as digging up relics or discovering sites.

6 Collector

Showcase A Love For Toys And Niche Collectibles

Collector

Age Bracket

Teen, Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Sticker Lover, Stationery Enthusiast, Toy Collector, Auctioner, Collection Curator

Thanks to the Everyday Clutter Kit and its wealth of extra items, players can decorate their Sim's rooms and houses further with a bit of messy but personalized flair. However, in real life, one person's clutter is another person's treasure, especially in the eyes of a Collector. Given how The Sims already has a nature-oriented Gatherer Career Track that dwells on a similar premise, the Collector may be considered a more Gen-Z way of introducing the notion in the series.

A Sim's life is filled with ups and downs, and with eight Life Stages in The Sims 4, it's important to make the most of each before they're gone.

Being a Collector could become a full-time profession or even a part-time gig for Sims, with the game potentially introducing specific collectibles such as toys, dolls, or even mugs as part of a separate DLC. Collectors could begin in a Sim's teen years through mere stickers and stationeries, while adult Sims could even make a living off their collections.

5 Homeowner Associate

One Step Closer To A Political Path

Community Person

Age Bracket

Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Cleaner of the Day, Junior Neighborhood Watch, Neighborhood Watch, Household Official

Since most Sims in any neighborhood are likely to be easy to get along with, there hasn't been much need for intervention whenever conflict arises. However, this isn't always the case in the real world, as homeowners may still have disputes with neighbors and other visitors when it comes to their property. Should The Sims ever spice things up through the addition of comical displays of aggression and annoyance, it might also be the time to introduce the Homeowner Associate Career Track.

As the name suggests, this parodies the tendency of Homeowner Associations to be "extra" involved in neighborhood matters, though this may also reflect how useful they can be in maintaining order among households. Adults may begin the Community Person Career Track as part of the Neighborhood Watch or even as a Household Official, although young adults may follow suit through jobs like Junior Neighborhood Watch or Cleaner of the Day.

4 Martial Artist

Fight One's Way To Become The World's Best Fighting Champion

A Sim doing Martial Arts

Age Bracket

Teen, Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Dojo Student, Dojo Competitor, MMA Athlete, Sensei, World Champion

With shows such as Cobra Kai showing how martial arts can have a more impactful effect on one's life, it would be interesting to see how a Sim can integrate this into their day-to-day activities. While Martial Arts is already classified as a Skill in The Sims 3: World Adventures, it has yet to become an actual Career Track.

Pursuing Martial Arts as a Career Track could begin as early as a Sim's teen years when they can become a Dojo Student or a Dojo Competitor or even well into their adult years as an MMA Athlete or as a World Champion. Martial Arts can become its own Career Track or a career path within the Athletic Career Track.

3 Ranger

Protect The World's Forests And Wildlife

Park Ranger

Age Bracket

Teen, Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Scout Leader, Park Ranger, Wildlife Preserve Owner

With Sims games offering opportunities for players to enjoy the glory of the outdoors, it makes sense that Conservationist, Gatherer, and even Gardener Career Tracks exist that revolve around appreciating nature as a whole. Kids may even become Scouts as an extracurricular activity in school, reflecting how important nature is to the ecosystem of The Sims. In turn, it shouldn't be too far-fetched that a Ranger Career Track should focus more on the preservation aspect of the world's forests. This could become a separate Career Track of its own or merely a path within the Conservationist Track.

2 Religion

Pursue Beliefs And Share Them With Others

Meditation as Religion

Age Bracket

Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Church Staff, Clergy Member, Regional Leader, Supreme Leader

While The Sims' gameplay packs quite a lot of opportunities for players to have fun with their Sims, such as the existence of Witches, Vampires, and even Ghosts, it's surprising to see that the franchise hasn't introduced Religion in the series yet. Due to the potential conflicts of including real-world religions in a fictional game, it's reasonable for the franchise to not include the idea of worship at all. However, an upcoming installment like The Sims 5 may be the perfect avenue to introduce fictional optional religions for a Sim to follow, allowing the option for players to customize their own religions and religious traditions.

Players who want to have a more realistic experience with their Sims may also be interested in the option of having their Sims explore different religions not just as interests but also as a Career Track. In this regard, a young adult Sim could begin their career as a member of Church Staff, or they could become a Clergy Member. In their adult years, a Sim may be promoted to a Regional Leader or even a global Supreme Leader.

1 Superhero

Saving The World Can Be A Tough Job

An inventive superhero

Age Bracket

Young Adult, Adult

Career Levels/Titles

Superhuman (Path), Costumed Hero (Path), Vigilante, Sidekick, Part-Time Hero, Professional Hero, Hero Leader

With the Sims already having vampires, witches, and even aliens among its citizens, it shouldn’t be too far off for a Sim to think of saving the day as a masked Superhero. This Career Track already has a lot of precedent in the original games, with other Careers potentially leading to superhero types.

On top of the game giving players a mini-wardrobe to create their costume, this Career Track could be an advanced stage reached by unlocking an “origin” Career. For instance, Iron Man hopefuls could be Inventors, while Doctor Strange fans could be Magicians.
