A The Sims 4 player created an homage to Alec Baldwin's character in The Boss Baby. While The Sims 4 version of the suit-wearing infant is not a perfect one-to-one of how the character looked in the animated film, it's nevertheless an impressive likeness.

Publisher EA and developer Maxis launched The Sims 4 in 2014 and continue to support it through DLC. The title has also been free-to-play since 2022 when EA switched it to a live service model. Meanwhile, the animated movie The Boss Baby was released in 2017 and stars Alec Baldwin as the titular character, a suit-wearing infant who gains adult-level intelligence by drinking a "Secret Baby Formula." The film received a mixed critical reception with aggregate scores of 53% on Rotten Tomatoes and 50 on Metacritic. However, that did not stop it from making $520 million at the box office from a $125 million budget.

A fan known on Reddit as catdadsimmer decided to combine the two by creating the titular Boss Baby in The Sims 4's Create-a-Sim interface, which allows players to create and customize individual Sims or entire families. The Sims 4 did not let the player capture the cartoonishly massive heads of babies in The Boss Baby, and this version is wearing an infant-sized tuxedo with shorts rather than a business suit. However, the likeness is still quite impressive, given what The Sims 4 gives players to work with.

The baby Sim's posture and expression probably go a long way to creating the effect. While the game doesn't have a tiny office chair to give him, he's still sitting upright in a relatively adult way. His mouth and raised eyebrow is also a decent approximation of how the character looks on The Boss Baby's theatrical release poster and DVD cover.

Of course, the effect is not quite the same, with one commenter noting how disturbing The Sims 4 version is. The film version is kind of goofy looking, with the expression conveying the comedic personality Alec Baldwin brings to his vocal performance. Meanwhile, the expression in The Sims 4 version looks almost too adult, perhaps due in part to the relatively realistic proportions of The Sims 4 characters compared to the film. The doll-like appearance of Sims 4 characters doesn't help either, and catdadsimmer's creation almost looks like it might be plotting something nefarious.

Evil child genius may or may not be the vibe that catdadsimmer was going for it when they decided to combine The Boss Baby in The Sims 4. However, it's still impressive what the player managed to do within the game's character creation system.

The Sims 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
