The Sims community has been sharing creative builds and guides online for years, long before the advent of the other great building games like Minecraft or Terraria. The community in The Sims 4 is no different, taking advantage of the game's most advanced building tools yet to create stunning creations where the only limitation is the number of materials within the game to choose from.
A toolset that is regularly being updated, one might add. Thanks to platforms like the Gallery, creators can upload their builds for any Sim player to download for free, leading to all manner of fantasies being able to be played out. With that being said, here are ten of the most downloaded castles off of The Sims 4 Gallery.
10 Beauty And The Beast Castle
To start, this stunning build is meant to emulate, if not attempt to be an exact recreation of, Beast's castle from Beauty and the Beast. The build was posted by HatsyTV who claims that it was a collaborative build between them and another player that goes by the moniker: Kaleidow.
The description claims the castle was made as part of a speed building challenge, though further details on what exactly the challenge was are not listed. According to stats, the castle would cost 277,097 Simoleons (represented as "S") and it was built on a lot of 64x64 squares. If downloaded, it has no bedrooms or bathrooms as they were not needed for the speed build. They could be added as needed by whomever downloads the template.
9 Coorinberg Starter Castle
Going off of a much larger design, this starter version of "Coorinberg Castle" was created by a user named: Iluispire. Funny enough, this smaller starter version has more downloads than the original, larger version. A template does allow for more creativity to spring forth after all. It is listed as a residential build, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms built on a 20x20 lot.
The home would cost 19,500 S to buy and one notable bug that players have reported is not being able to access the upstairs area due to a glitch with the roof, but some players have reported that simply messing around with the roof in build mode seems to solve the issue.
8 Enigmar Castle
Enigmar Castle is a fortress upon the water that was created by user: RivendellStar. According to the description, there are secret passages, hidden treasure, and a secret cave peppered throughout this build as well as the inclusion of a mini-village just outside of the castle's grounds.
It includes stables, a cottage, a florist, and a woodworking shop. Estimates place the castle at costing 830,307 S with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms built on a 50x50 lot. For those looking for a secluded kingdom vibe, Enigmar Castle seems to check most of the boxes off.
7 Cinderella Castle
Another Disney recreation, this time in the form of Cinderella's castle which, of course, features as the crown jewel and central structure of both Disneyland and Disneyworld. This creation was built by user: Rubinrot97. They claim it is based on the 1950 version of the castle designed by Disney at that time.
The castle is estimated to cost 526,838 S and is equipped, surprisingly, with only four bedrooms and three bathrooms on a 40x40 square lot. Most who have downloaded the castle comment surprise on the level of detail that the build shows off, from the features of the wall to the horse-drawn carriage out front.
6 Mini Castle
Another smaller castle aptly titled "Mini Castle", was built by the creator: Sekyria, who makes full use of the lot by allowing half of it to be dedicated to the castle itself while the other half plays host to a lovely yard complete with a large fountain with an encircling path.
Skyria's description assures that the castle is much larger than it seems while still maintaining the "mini" feeling. There is even mention of a treasure room! The stats put the castle costing 303,104 S with three bedrooms and three bathrooms on a 40x30 lot. Some commentators claim they wish that this castle replaced the gothic house in the base game.
5 Von Stoker Castle
This imposing and impressive build was created by user: wagaugusto. The simple black and white color scheme along with the decision to take the display photo at night with the strategic lighting give the castle a sense of dominating will that is unique among most of The Sims 4 builds.
Wagaugusto's description mentions the property having an atelier, a gym, and even a laboratory. The price estimates put the castle at 1,000,064 S with three bedrooms and 5 bathrooms on a 64x64 lot. Most people in the comments exclaim surprise at how such a build was accomplished, most likely referencing its difficulty.
4 Waddesdon Castle
Perhaps the largest castle on this list, the build was posted by user: dracularua454. They however claim that they were not the original builder and give that credit to xfreezerbunnyx as well as a link to their youtube channel which has the video of this castle being built. The description for the build is creative and deserves to be shared:
"Build by a wealthy Baron over a century ago, this grand estate is the setting for lavish parties and even played host to royalty! This 44 room mansion contains priceless antiques and exquisitely manicured gardens lovingly cared for by the Baron's descendants! House building video at: youtube.com/c/xfreezerbunnyx"
The number of bedrooms and bathrooms is listed at zero each regardless of the build's description and the castle is priced at 969,598 S.
3 Magic Castle 2
This jaw-dropping design of a castle was posted by user: yysy11111. Perhaps the most shocking structures are the floating towers above the fountain-pond in the front yard. The statues, the glowing orbs, the crenelations, and then the main building itself, it is almost shocking to the senses.
According to the description, the castle costs 515,845 S to purchase and comes furnished with six bedrooms and three bathrooms on a 50x50 lot. Most people in the comments express shock and rightly so, most claiming there is no way that the castle was built with just base game assets. It should be necessary to note as well that as early as three months ago, some users complained of not being able to enter the residence, but since then it is mostly praise, so perhaps the issue is resolved.
2 Flower Castle
Another creation posted by user:Â yysy11111, the Flower Castle is another build that most do not believe was built with base game assets, yet here it stands and the description does not seem to claim as much anyway. The entire lot gives the air of being an organic garden even though it is an inorganic structure. The amount of time to create such a residence must have been extraordinary.
The description claims that the castle looks better at night and that it costs 403,263 S with five bedrooms and four bathrooms on a 50x50 lot. One thing is certain, gardeners will need to be hired to take care of all of those flowers.
1 Hikaru Assassins Castle
According to the Gallery statistics, this is the most breathtaking castle in The Sims 4. Deemed so by the community at an incredible 62,243 downloads, this Hikaru Assassins Castle was created by user: Cayrees. It was made with only base game assets much to the surprise of the community and its distinctly Asian style no doubt propelled its popularity in the gallery.
It is impressive it was created with base game assets considering that The Sims 4 only recently released an Asian-themed expansion pack, Snowy Escape. Its stats include it costing 485,808 S with ten bedrooms and six bathrooms built on a lot of 50x50.
