No Code, the developers of the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall, have teased that more news on the game will be coming sometime in 2024. Konami first announced Silent Hill: Townfall back in 2022, alongside a host of other related projects. Fans were only given a brief teaser trailer for Townfall, which leaned into the psychological horror that the series is known for. The only thing fans know about Townfall is that it is developed by No Code Studios and Annapurna Interactive.

No Code Studios is best known for its two adventure-puzzle games, Stories Untold and Observation. Both games were very horror adjacent, with the studio's past work with these two games giving fans hope that Townfall is in good hands. While not much has been announced about the game since its 2022 reveal, No Code Studios recently posted a message for fans to expect news some time in 2024.

The CEO of Genvid, the studio behind Silent Hill: Ascension, responds to repeated accusations that AI was used to generate scripts for the series.

In a Twitter thread, No Code acknowledges that new people have joined the company in the past year and that the studio is still working on a "nightmare." The nightmare referenced in this tweet is likely alluding to Silent Hill: Townfall. It notes that it has no further "signals" or news regarding said game for this year, cheekily apologizing, along with mentioning that more signals will be coming next year, even saying "promise" to boot.

Silent Hill: Townfall is still rather light on information, with no word on its platforms or release date. There were some reports that Silent Hill: Townfall would be using Unreal Engine 5, based on how No Code was searching for specialists with knowledge of the game engine, and that it would be abandoning Unity. This was further supported by how No Code was looking to program realistic characters and environments, along with multi-platform tests. This is still a rumor, as No Code hasn't confirmed if the game will be using Unreal Engine 5.

Alongside Silent Hill: Townfall, the franchise has a few other projects in the works. The Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team is the most prominent project fans are keeping an eye on. Another in-development Silent Hill game is Silent Hill f, which takes place in a mysterious Japanese village set in the 1960s. Silent Hill f will be a psychological horror game written by the acclaimed Ryukishi07, most famous for the Higarushi: When They Cry series. Since all three of these games have had little information revealed outside their 2022 reveals, Silent Hill fans will likely be happy to hear that Townfall will at least be getting an update next year.
