There is a long list of gaming or office chairs to choose from now. Of that list, most gamers have probably heard about brands like DXRacer or Secretlab, but there is a good chance that people haven't heard about brands like SIHOO before. After trying out the SIHOO Doro-C300 for a couple of weeks, it is hard to tell why they are not up there with brands like Secretlab. With a design centered around ergonomic support and a stand-out look, more gamers should take a closer look at SIHOO's options.

When the box first arrived, it was pretty immaculate, with very little transportation wear on the outside cardboard. Second-story dwellers, be sure to grab a friend to help lift this box up the stairs. Otherwise, it can be quite the workout. After getting the box up the stairs and taking a quick break, the unpacking process was relatively easy, and SIHOO used high-quality foam to ensure all the parts were protected during shipment.

Unlike some other gaming chairs, this chair came completely unassembled, but after taking a look at the instructions, it became less intimidating. The SIHOO Doro-C300 includes the following:

  • Back Rest
  • Neck support
  • Seat
  • 5x Chair Bases with casters
  • 2x Armrests
  • 2x Armrest mounts
  • Hydraulic System
  • Pack of Hardware
  • Allen Wrench
  • Pair of Microfiber Gloves

The build process was reasonably straightforward, and with some help, the entire process took about 35 minutes from start to finish. The instruction sheet left a little to be desired, and telling the differences between the screw types was a little difficult. From the beginning, this chair felt premium and a big tell for that was the included Allen wrench, which is worth keeping, unlike those right-angled Allen keys from lower quality manufacturers. Also, despite the different screw types, every head was the same size, so this is the only tool needed to assemble the chair. It is worth noting that some of the hardware came in a separate bag instead of the cardboard box, but that is probably due to receiving a pre-order model.

Pro Tip: Make sure that the seat is installed the correct way, because nothing works or feels correct if it is put on backward. Crazy right? Be mindful of the little arrow that points to the front of the seat, not the back.

Presentation & Design

SIHOO Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair Comfort

The SIHOO Doro-C300 is a breath of fresh air, and not just because of the mesh material, which is very appreciated as it starts to heat up. Typically, gaming chairs are all black, using faux or real leather for most of the seat, so this all-white and gray design is a nice change of pace.

Of course, SIHOO does offer a black version, and if you are a more stain-prone person, that might be a better option, but the white looks absolutely stunning. Plus, the white version with the overall shape and design gives off big Westworld vibes.

On top of its excellent looks, SIHOO places a lot of focus on the ergonomics of this chair. Almost everything on this chair is adjustable. The backrest can move up and down, the neck rest can be moved precisely to fit your height, and the armrests can be moved up and down and side to side. Plus, the whole thing leans back with ease when the day is done.

The real selling point is the automatic lumbar support. Unlike some chairs that just include a pillow for your lumbar, this lumbar rest is made to conform to the user's back no matter how they are sitting in the chair. And it really does work, as the little rails that the lumbar support slides on move smoothly and never leave it in an uncomfortable position.

Comfort

SIHOO Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair Design

At first, having a chair that is actively helping posture was hard to get used to, but pretty quickly, this chair made it hard to sit anywhere else. After two weeks of rigorous testing (sitting in the chair all day), the SIHOO Doro-C300 quickly became one of the best chairs gaming Game ZXC has reviewed.

With it getting hotter, the mesh backing and seat are very welcome. Chairs with solid backing can retain body heat and make it very easy to get sweaty, but feeling a breeze through this chair made it so much more comfortable. Also, because of the mesh, this chair will not degrade, like other options that just have padding underneath the surface layer. Regardless of how long your gaming session, this mesh always sprung right back to its original shape. And thanks to the incredibly high quality of the mesh, so there is no need to worry about rips or tears.

With how many adjustment options you get with the C300, this chair works well for various heights and body shapes. The only drawback is the width of the seat. At 20" wide and 16.53" deep, the chair can be a bit limiting for larger bodies. The seat is designed to resemble a waterfall, take that for what you will, but it does help relieve pressure from the upper thighs, making it comfortable regardless of reclining or sitting upright.

Having complete control of the armrests makes it incredibly easy to get comfortable, whether gaming or working, or just sitting back and watching videos. The only real downside of the armrest is that there is too much customization. I regularly found myself distracted by moving the armrests up and down or in and out. This is an incredibly high-level nitpick, but it feels worth mentioning for those other easily distracted gamers out there.

The Chair Of The Future, Today!

Overall the SIHOO Doro-C300 is an incredible chair. Plus, at the time of writing, SIHOO is running a deal on it for $100 off the normal price. Most gamers will be hard-pressed to find a better chair for the same or better price. Of course, the design and look of this chair is not for everyone. This is not going to be a replacement for the racing-style gaming chairs that many people like, but with the automatic lumbar support system and the space-age design language, it truly feels like sitting in the chair of the tomorrow.

It is hard to say anything bad about this chair. From the casters to the neck rest, this chair exudes comfort and premium construction. Whether for gaming, office work, or a bit of both, the Doro-C300 is an excellent chair that will last quite a while.
