There is a computer in Signalis's Library, which is located on level B8, that players can use to obtain an Astrolabe. This item can then be inserted into the Shrine Box in ADLR's Study, though fans may be confused about what they are to do at that point. This guide is here to dispel that confusion by providing full details on how to solve the Astrolabe puzzle in Signalis.

Signalis: Astrolabe Puzzle Solution

The key to solving the Astrolabe puzzle in Signalis is the Star Map that is located in the Briefing Room across from the Library. Upon interacting with this map, players will see a series of bodies revolving around a central point, and they should make careful note of the positions of these bodies when Heimat (the star) is at the top. To make that notation as simple as possible, here is an image of the Star Map when Heimat is in the correct position:

Signalis players should now inspect the Astrolabe that has been inserted into the Shrine Box. Upon performing this inspection, fans will find that there is a star at the top that cannot be moved, and indeed that represents Heimat. Players will also find that there are three rings that can be moved, and their job is now to reposition those rings in order to recreate the Star Map.

This is done by moving the outer ring so that its symbol (a circle) points down and to the left, moving the middle ring so that its symbol (two lines) points up and to the left, and moving the inner ring so that its symbol (a hexagon) points down and to the right. This configuration can be seen in the following image, and players should press the large button in the center of the Astrolabe once they have recreated it. Survival horror fans can then grab the Administrator's Key from the newly-opened Shrine Box and continue on their journeys.

To note, players will encounter posters while exploring Sierpinski Base that directly connect the planets from the Star Map to the symbols that appear on the Astrolabe. While this adds another layer of clarity to the proper positioning of the rings of the Astrolabe, the puzzle can certainly be solved without ever examining the posters. Indeed, so long as indie horror fans are faithful in their recreations of the Star Map, they should have little trouble getting inside the Shrine Box.

Signalis is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
