Sifu is harder than most games. The levels and enemies are made to be challenging, but it also takes time to grow accustomed to the unique gameplay. Even after players progress past all the enemies in a given stage, they still have to defeat a powerful boss. Each of these bosses has their own move set and patterns you have to learn before standing a chance against them.

The following list ranks all the boss fights from easiest to hardest. Really, though, even the easiest boss battle is a tough bout. Fortunately, they become significantly easier once the player finds out how each fight works. Players should not be immediately turned away from Sifu if a boss is giving them trouble. Take a few tries to analyze their moves and perfect defensive maneuvers.

5 Sean The Fighter

The Club is arguably the hardest level in Sifu. Even after reaching Sean The Fighter the first time and unlocking the shortcut, players still have to beat the three trials, which alone can make the protagonist age decades if one is not careful. Fortunately, the actual boss at the end of the stage is a relative cakewalk.

Sean The Fighter attacks the player with a long pole. While this means the moves have reach, they are also heavily telegraphed. In the first form, most of the attacks simply require players to dodge down. The second form is a little trickier. He adds in a sweep that can knock the protagonist down. Players will see this coming when he swings the weapon above his dead.

4 Fajar The Botanist

Sifu's first level, The Squats, is pretty easy, though It can still punish those who don't take it seriously. The trickiest part of the level is probably Fajar The Botanist at the end. Even though his attacks are easy to dodge once players understand them, he jumps around and moves so manically that it is hard to get a beat on him.

The first phase has him constantly running at you. It is best to parry these moves to work toward breaking his Structure. The second phase has him breaking out a sharp blade. He attacks fast with this knife, so parrying and dodging are a little harder. He also hides in the bushes. Upon seeing this, players should run as far away from where he jumps out to avoid a damaging blow.

3 Jinfeng The CEO

The fourth level has the protagonist fighting through a large skyscraper. After jumping down some elevator shafts and making their way to the bottom floor, players go to a cavernous area below ground. This is where they find Jinfeng The CEO. Her moves have long-range, and some attacks push the player back.

It is advised to close this gap as fast as possible when she does these moves. After the big leg sweep with her weapon, which players should dodge, it is easy to run up to her and land a few hits. Fortunately, her second phase does not change a lot about her move set. Her attacks are more powerful and some combos are longer. There are a few battles players have to do beforehand even with the shortcut, and these might cause more deaths than the actual boss. It's still not as hard as the three trials in The Club, thankfully.

2 Kuroki The Artist

The Museum is a uniquely designed level. Players simply ascend to the top floor and make their way to the boss. Before the actual fight, there is a surreal series of fights apropos of the level's theme. Finally, players reach Kuroki The Artist, and fight her in a snowy field. Oddly enough, the first phase of the fight is way harder than the second. Her attacks are fast and generally require a combination of dodges in different directions.

She only leaves herself open to attack momentarily before going in for another hit. Her moves change up dramatically in the second phase. Her close-range combo is a series of easy-to-parry punches ending with a kick players can dodge. She also has one deadly hit where she dashes quickly at the protagonist. It is telegraphed, though, and easy to dodge. For an extra leg-up, players should unlock the Weapon Catch ability to snatch the knives she throws right out of the air and toss them right back.

1 Yang The Leader

The Sanctuary is not a particularly difficult level. Any player who has made it this far can likely handle most combat situations in Sifu. All the same, Yang The Leader remains a devastatingly tough fight, appropriate for a final boss. Abilities and attacks using the Focus Bar are useless, so players have to rely solely on basic attacks, dodges, and parries.

He has a large variety of combos, so it takes a little longer to read what moves he will do next. To make it even harder, he often takes plenty of time between attacks, tempting players to attack first in vain. In the second phase, his combos are longer and require a larger variety of dodges. It especially takes a while to get used to the abrupt sweep kick Yang adds at the end of some combos. However, like every boss, victory is close once players recognize the patterns and can respond to them accordingly.
