Siding with Lilim

Upon finding Lilim, the player will talk to her. If the player met Principality first, they have the option to fight and kill her right there. However, if the player goes against that, they can instead listen to her and take up her quest, “Those Seeking Sanctuary”.

What Lilim wants is for her and the other Lilim to leave the Netherworld and live peacefully in Tokyo, and she has no plans to kill humans. She just wants to take a bit of energy to survive. However, the angels have forbidden this. To help her, the player will have to seek out the Principality and kill him.

If the players already met Principality and come back to this location via the Magatsu Rail, the player can take this back to reach the location with the containers. There, the player will be able to locate this angel.

Siding with Lilim and fighting Principality invalidates the “Holding the Line” quest, so players should be aware of this.

The fight against Principality will see the player taking on not one, but two Principality. Each of them will be at level 28.

Now to best defeat this enemy, the player should prepare for this fight by adding demons with dark abilities to their party. Some demons that possess these skills that are in the player’s rank are the following:

• Leanan Sidhe. This demon has access to some great dark skills, such as Mudo and Mamudo. She can also act as a healer.
• Legion. The legion can be fused or found in this area of the game. He can unlock Mudo and is great at dark skills in general.

A guest character that is a must-use here is Yoko Hiromine. At this point in the game, she’ll have a very powerful dark attack, Mudoon +3, that will cause deadly damage to this angel.

It’s important to keep in mind that while those characters are powerful against this angel, they all have a Light weakness, which means they can potentially get one shot by the Principality. That’s why this fight should be finished as fast as possible with heavy attacks one after another. A Light Dampener could also be of use here.

Players should keep in mind that Principality has a great healing spell that can make all attacks from the player account to nothing, so it’s better to finish a Principality in one turn when possible.

Once the Principality is down, the player should head back to Lilim and report what happened. This will complete the “Those Seeking Sanctuary” quest.

Yoko will approve of the player’s choice to fight for Lilim instead of Principality.

The best reward for siding with Lilim is that she will join the player. She is at a very high level at this point in the game and will be of use for long.

Besides that, the player will receive a Dark Sutra.

Siding with Principality

If the player instead decides to side with the principality, here’s how it will go down.

First off, the player will have to take the “Holding the Line'” quest from this angel. This can be done by speaking to him. He explains to the player that there have been demons who have appeared in the human world and there have been casualties, specifically from a demon known as Lilim, who robs humans of their sexual energy. He tells the player that this demon has been trying to cross into the human world, and asks the player to put an end to this.

The player should head to Lilim’s location, around the Shinagawa Pier main road. The player can access it faster from the Principality’s location through the Magatsu Rail.

The player will have to fight against 5 Lilim, and as seen here, they should exploit her weakness against Ice. Some good demons to bring along are the following:

• Aquanas. This demon has access to great ice skills to damage the Lilim. While many demons with ice skills typically have an electrical weakness, this one does not.
• Apsaras. This demon is perfect for this fight. Not only does she have ice-based skills and no weaknesses to electrical attacks, but she also blocks charm attacks, which the Lilim will use against the player.
• Ame-no-Uzume. This demon fully blocks electrical attacks, which will make Lilim lose turns when targeting her. She herself excels at electrical attacks but that will be useless against Lilim. On the bright side, she can use a light attack and heal allies.

Once she’s defeated, the player can head back to Principality where he will join them and give them a light Sutra.

Who should the player side with?

Overall, the player should side with Lilim. When she joins the player, she'll be at level 32. Meanwhile, Principality will be at level 28, making her far more useful and lasting comparably.
