Shin Megami Tensei 5 is the recent entry in Atlus' JRPG series. As is traditional of most JRPGs, there are other ways for the player to build their team beyond leveling up. This can be done by learning Miracles in Shin Megami Tensei 5's World of Shadows. However, there's a catch. Players can purchase Miracles at the expense of Glory.
This unique currency, Glory, can't be gained by simply achieving victory in battles. Unfortunately, Miracles are divided into four different categories and can be very costly. Knowing the best places to farm Glory and deciding which Miracles to purchase first will aid the player greatly in their journey.
Farming Glory
There are three different ways to get Glory Shin Megami Tensei 5. These methods are: looting Amalgrams, defeating Nigi Mitamas, and finding Mimans.
Amalgrams
Unlike regular treasure boxes, Amalgram are silver-colored and need to be Examined instead of smashed open. There are 6 Amalgrams in the world of Shin Megami Tensei 5.
- There is 1 Amalgram in Mita, Akanebashi, Tokyo Tower, and Kamiyacho.
- There are 2 Amalgrams in Hamamatsucho.
Looting these will grant the player some Glory, so it's not a bad idea to do some searching in these areas.
Nigi Mitamas
Although they're similar, do not confuse Nigi Mitamas with Saki Mitamas. The player will still want to find Saki Mitamas and defeat them, but only if they're looking to grind EXP. For Glory, players will want to target the blue Mitamas instead. Defeating them rewards the player with a Small Glory Crystal, which gives 10 Glory.
When fighting Mitamas, use a Spyglass to find its weakness. If farming Glory at the beginning of the game, it's recommended to bring a team of demons with a variety of skills. Fighting Nigi Mitamas will become easier later in the game when the player can put multiple skills into one demon.
If players don't mind spending $2.99, they can purchase the Mitama Dance of Miracles DLC to increase the encounter rate of Nigi Mitamas.
Mimans
Players can begin finding Mimans after they've spoken to Gustave of Cadaver's Hollow. They will then need to find Gustave's minions, Mimans, which are tiny red creatures. They can be found all over Da'at and the player will receive 5 Glory per Miman. There are a total of 200 Miman in Shin Megami Tensei 5. Because of the excessive amount of Miman, players will have enough Glory for every Miracle by the end of the game.
