While the schedule will be undergoing changes that will see the final episodes of the series leak over into the beginning of the Summer anime season, the airing day each week has not changed. Fans can continue to expect Shikimori on Saturdays, with special episodes and events to air, to make up for the missing episodes.

The new schedule for Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie will be as follows:

  • May 21: Episode 1, with cast commentary
  • May 28: Episode 7
  • June 4: Episode 8
  • June 11: Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie series recap episode
  • From June 18 through July 9, Doga Kobo expects to be back to releasing the last four episodes on a weekly basis, with July 9 being the projected airing date for the finale, should delays cease.

Fans will be disappointed to hear that the series is facing some difficulty, but they can be assured that the series will air to completion sooner rather than later.

Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie follows the teenage romance of Izumi and Shikimori. Izumi believes that his girlfriend is cute, perfect, and kind, but from time to time, she has a tendency to act in ways that make her look really cool. Her sweet and cute demeanor contrasts with this edgier demeanor that she assumes sometimes, especially when Izumi is in a bind.

For those looking to catch up on Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, the series can be found on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll. It can be viewed either subbed or dubbed, with the English dub so far only being an episode in at the time of the announced delays. At this point, fans can only keep the good health of the affected staff members in mind and hope that there won't be any further delays to the series.
