Fans have been waiting for the premiere of Marvel Studios Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. But before the film even hits theaters, fans are getting more insight into some of the main characters, who are being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time, courtesy of a new piece of LEGO merchandise.

LEGO has unveiled its latest sets for Shang-Chiand the Legend of the Ten Rings. Both sets, titled “Escape from The Ten Rings” and “Battle at the Ancient Village,” are already available for purchase on the official LEGO website and range between $30-$40 US. News of the sets first arrived in April, when Marvel unveiled the entire collection of official Shang-Chi merchandise, which has been created by Hasbro, Funko, and LEGO.

An image of one of the sets, “Battle at the Ancient Village,” had previously leaked online even before the Shang-Chi trailer was released, offering fans the first look at the titular hero's MCU costume. According to the official LEGO website, the 400 piece set includes “minifigures of Shang-Chi, Xialing, Wenwu, and Death Dealer.” But, that’s not all. It also comes with a buildable dragon, which fans first assumed was Fin Fang Foom from the comics. However, lead star Simu Liu recently clarified that the extraterrestrial dragon will not be appearing in the film. Fans have spotted a dragon in the latest trailer for the film, too, and it remains to be seen which Marvel character it will end up being.

The second set, “Escape from The Ten Rings,” features 321 pieces along with more Minifigures of Shang-Chi, Katy, Wenwu, Razor Fist, and a Morris figure. It comes with “an SUV, 2 shooter turrets, and 2 motorcycles.” Another LEGO set, “Shang-Chi and The Great Protector,” has been confirmed, but is currently not available on the LEGO website.

To promote the sets, Marvel has also released a LEGO version of the official Shang-Chi poster that features Liu. LEGO has previously made several other movie posters for past Marvel films, including the Avengers franchise, and the one for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is just the latest one to join the trend.

Liu, who has been visibly excited for the film's release based on his social media feed, reacted to the LEGO poster on his official Twitter account. In the post, Liu singled out the titular hero's hair more than anything else.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to premiere in theaters on September 3, 2021.
