Where To Get Pets In Sea Of Thieves

Acquiring Pets is not a difficult task. If you are at any Outpost, all you have to do is make your way to one of the wooden houses labeled Pirate Emporium. Talking to the NPC here will allow you to view the in-game store known as the Pirate Emporium. Here, you can buy all manner of things ranging from Cosmetic Outfits to customizations to your ship. One of the tabs here is for Pets. There are different types of pets available here that you can buy using Ancient Coins.

You can acquire Ancient Coins by spending real money or by grinding the Plunder Pass but this method will not yield a lot of Coins.

Even if you have preferences when it comes to a category of Pets, you can click it to view sub-categories, and doing so will show the different kinds of Dogs, Parrots, Cats, etc. Collector Pets are slightly more expensive than the rest of the pets because of the difference in their appearance. There are bundles on the second page of the Pets tab that players can buy if they want multiple ones. Pirate Emporium can be opened from the Settings or the Main Menu of the game as well, saving you the time of visiting an Outpost.

What Do Pets Do In Sea Of Thieves?

Ashen Curse Alsatian Collector's Pet In Sea Of Thieves

There are various types of Pets in the game. All of these pets are only meant for Cosmetic purposes because of how they interact with your character. They provide no advantage in terms of combat, so do not buy them if you think they can give you an edge in battle. Every pet has slightly different animations from one another, making them unique. If you are planning on doing a solo adventure, then these pets can be a great addition as they perform a goofy dance that can help uplift your day. On top of that, you can also shoot them through cannons and watch them fly around.

However, pets do have a disadvantage, as they can reveal your location. They follow you around everywhere, so if you are planning on sneaking up on enemies in the middle of the night, you can forget about that if you have Pets. You can turn off the option to show them if you want for a specific point in the game from the Settings.
