Recently, fans have been clamoring for Ubisoft to bring back Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game, a beat-em-up that originally launched ten years ago. With support from the band Anamanaguchi as well as series creator Bryan Lee O'Malley, pressure has been mounting for Ubisoft to return to the fan favorite title after it was unceremoniously delisted a few years after its release. Thankfully, Ubisoft has listened and announced that the game is coming back on its 10 year anniversary.

During the second Ubisoft Forward event, one of the surprise announcements the company made was the reveal of Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game. Not only is the game finally coming back to the current generation of consoles and PC, but it'll be the complete edition. This includes all of the previously released DLC including the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells add-on packs. Fans can get their hands on this later this year, sometime during Holiday 2020.

Naturally, the announcement was met with excitement from fans who have been waiting for a way to officially get their hands on the game again. Naturally, Bryan Lee O'Malley took to Twitter to celebrate the news, posting a 10th anniversary gif of the game, as well as providing a big thanks to the fans who never stopped asking when the game would be coming back.

Rumors have been swirling for months regarding the game's ultimate return. Earlier in the Spring, Ubisoft's official Twitter account responded to O'Malley's plea for the game to make a return with a thinking face emoji. Without any sort of news for years after it was removed from digital stores, the random Tweet immediately sent the fanbase into a frenzy as rumors, speculation, and theories began popping up over the prospect of the game being made available once more.

With film producer Edgar Wright providing a 10 year anniversary look back at the cast behind the scenes and even putting together a table read for charity, the spotlight continued to shine on the game leading to more posts, support from those involved such as Anamanaguchi and the original developers now at Tribute Games, as well as even more requests from fans. Last month, O'Malley again provided a spark of hope by Tweeting that Ubisoft has reached out, though no further details leaked out until today's reveal.
