Leveling up is the only way to earn Brain Points in Scarlet Nexus, which in turn allows the player to unlock skills. With this in mind, one of the player's priorities is to level up as fast as possible so they can unlock many of the game's best skills early on.
This can be done naturally as the player simply progresses through the game's main campaign. However, there are also other things they can do to speed up the process at a noticeable rate. There is a handful of gameplay aspects they can do, items they can equip, and skills they can unlock so they can level up faster in Scarlet Nexus.
Do The Side Quests
In Scarlet Nexus, there are a total of 34 side quests for the player to complete. This is true for both Yuito and Kasane's storylines. Side quests are found in each phase and are marked by a diamond icon on the mini-map. Doing these side quests will net the player a handful of money, and of course, EXP so they can level up faster.
The quests are very simple, and the player is likely to complete them without even thinking about it. Most quests simply involve the player having to collect certain materials or defeat enemies in specific ways. The great thing is that the player can return to a location at any time in the game to gather a side quest for that extra EXP.
Unlock The Brain Crush EXP Bonus Skill
The Brain Crush EXP Bonus is a skill that can be unlocked from the Brain Map menu for four Brain Points. This belongs under the Support skill type category. Should the player want to level up fast in Scarlet Nexus, this is one of the skills they need to prioritize unlocking early.
With this skill, the player will receive a boost in EXP earned whenever they defeat an enemy using the Brain Crush ability. Due to the powerful nature of this ability and its status as a finishing move, the Brain Crush is already something the player should do constantly. The Brain Crush EXP Bonus will make this devastating move even better by helping the player level up faster.
Unlock The Overkill Skill
The Overkill Skill can be unlocked in the Brain Map for three Brain Points. It is another unlockable skill that will help the player level up faster in this game. With this skill active, the protagonist will receive an increase in EXP gained if they hit an enemy that's been stunned from having its crush gauge depleted.
While this will definitely help the player level up faster in this game, it should be noted that the EXP bonus will not work against stronger enemies and bosses that have zero HP while their crush gauge is depleted.
Do The Bond Episodes
When doing the bond episodes during the Standby Phases, the player is actually hitting two birds with one stone. In episodes where encounters with enemies happen, the player will gain EXP. On top of that, they will also increase their bond with other characters in this RPG title, making their SAS abilities more effective.
The latter benefit is also arguably beneficial in making the player level up faster, as it will allow them to be more powerful in combat. A handful of bond episodes can be time-consuming, but they are very useful if the player wants to be powerful in this game.
Unlock The Brain Drive: Bonus Multiplier Up Skill
For just three Brain Points, the player is able to unlock the Brain Drive: Bonus Multiplier Up skill from the Brain Map. This skill grants an EXP bonus each time the player defeats an enemy while the Brain Drive is active.
The Brain Drive skill automatically activates whenever the drive bar fills up. When active, the player will have increased attack damage, reduced power gauge consumption, faster movement, and a bonus EXP rate. The Brain Drive: Bonus Multiplier Up skill will give the player an even higher bonus in terms of EXP, making them level up faster.
Unlock The Brain Field: Overkill Skill
The Brain Field: Overkill has the same benefits as the standard Overkill skill, only this time, it works only while the Brain Field is active. The Brain Field ability is the most powerful buff in the game the player can unlock. Brain Field puts the player and the enemies in a special space where the former can use their psychokinesis ability without being restricted by the power gauge.
It is highly recommended that the player make use of this power strategically and effectively when playing Scarlet Nexus. With the Brain Field: Overkill skill unlocked, the player will receive more EXP while attacking enemies who have empty crush gauges.
Equip The Special Bonus Contract Plug-In
The Special Bonus Contract plug-in is a very useful item for those who want to level up fast in Scarlet Nexus. As incredible as this item is, it is unfortunate that it has one very limiting caveat — it is only available to those who pre-ordered the game or bought the DLC pack.
This item will give the player a 5% increase in EXP gained, as well as a 5% increase in money gained. It is arguably one of the best ways to level up faster in Scarlet Nexus.
