How to Change Character Appearance

Changing character appearance in Saints Row is actually really simple and can be done almost anywhere in the game. In order to change character appearance, simply:

  • Head to the Cellphone menu
  • From there, head to the Style app
  • This will allow players to re-access the character customization screen where they can edit their character.
Saints Row Character Creator

This app can be accessed anywhere in the open world without any limitations. There's no price to changing character customization, so players can go ham on changing their character to whatever creation they can come up with. The Appearance App allows players to customize several things, including:

  • Face
  • Body
  • Hairstyles
  • Clothing including underwear
  • Voice
  • Emotes
  • "Modesty" options aka nudity

Saints Row offers a large variety of character customization options to its players. The franchise has always been known for allowing players to create whatever monstrosity they'd like; previously, players have made the likes of Thanos, The Hulk, and Shrek.

Alongside this, Saints Row allows players to save a character as a template that can be accessed at any time. This lets players cycle through any of their preset bosses while out and about in the open world of Santo Ileso.

How to Get New Clothes

Saints Row doesn't only offer players customization through wacky and cool character customization, it also offers the player freedom in how they want to dress. Apart from the boring set players gain in the beginning, players can grab new clothes in many ways.

Shopping Time

Saints Row returns with the ability to spruce up your character through cool clothes they find in stores. These stores are littered throughout Santo Ileso and can be found on the player's map with a green shirt icon.

Purchasing an item from a clothes store for the first time will also give the player a bit of XP alongside the item. Every store will have a different set of clothes and aesthetic, so it's always worthwhile shopping around to find the best fit for the player's character.

Missions and Ventures

Alternatively, players will also receive clothing as they partake in side missions and the main story. Players can also gain them from side hustles and ventures, which can be found throughout the map of Santo Ileso.

Like regular customization, the player can look to change their outfit on the run via the Style app on their phone. Once again, this has no restriction and also doesn't cost a dime which is great for any player who wants to spice up their appearance spontaneously. The player can also visit their wardrobe at their crib to change clothes.

Saints Row is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
